The staff are so helpful. There is a 24 hour cafe where we have free soft drinks, coffee & tea as well as beer. The afternoon tea was fantastic and runs from 2pm to 9pm. We enjoyed having afternoon tea when we got back from a long day.

“Loved the terrace!”

Tiny hotel, perfect location - you can’t beat it. Right in the middle of the historic area. The interior is stylish and modern but still feels authentic. Loved the terrace! The traditional breakfast was delicious, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The room was clean. Yeah, it looks onto an internal corridor (old building vibes), but honestly who cares when you can just go out onto the terrace and enjoy the view there. Would definitely stay again.

“Magical stay with exceptional service by the friendliest staff”

The most adorable hotel during our entire 2-week trip in China! It's a courtyard hotel and our room had a beautiful view of the tiled hutong roofs and the greenery all around. It's such a charming place, quite magical really. It's in the best possible location, with tons on your doorstep to eat and drink, as well as an easy walk to the Bell and Drum towers and the lakes. It is well hidden away though, entrance from one of the side streets, so you feel like you are in a calm oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of the wider area. The breakfast was delicious, especially the Chinese options and there was a fridge in the dining area with coke, beer, water and other soft drinks free of charge whenever you wanted. They also served a lovely afternoon tea, with sweet and savoury snacks, as well as a fresh fruit selection. The staff were exceptionally attentive, helpful and all round the friendliest and loveliest people. They assisted us with booking transport to the Great Wall and recommended some delicious roast duck options nearby. Cannot recommend highly enough and would love to come back to this wonderful gem of a place!

The staff here is beyond wonderful — genuinely kind, caring, polite, attentive, and always ready to help with absolutely anything. We felt welcomed from the very first minute. Every interaction was warm and sincere, not formal. During our stay, the team helped organize a birthday surprise for my friend, and it honestly touched us so much. They prepared a beautiful cake, helped create a very special atmosphere, and made the evening unforgettable. Everything was done on the highest level, with so much care and heart. We will remember this forever. This is not just a hotel — it’s an experience, a feeling, a memory. If you want to truly feel the charm of old Beijing while staying somewhere beautiful, cozy, authentic, and full of warmth — this is the perfect place. Our stay at Lezai has been amazing. Location is perfect within the Hulong neighbourhood, the breakfast is delicious, the rooms are well equipped and beautiful and most importantly the staff are incredible attentive, helpful and kind. We will repeat at Lezai next time we visit Beijing.
