“Perfect base near Bled without the tourist rush”

We had a lovely stay at Guesthouse Avsenik. It is located in a beautiful small village, only about 15 minutes from Bled, which makes it perfect if you want to visit Bled but prefer to avoid the tourist crowds. The atmosphere was charming, with mountain views, a historic 19th-century building and a shady garden area. Our attic room was spacious and comfortable, with beautiful wooden beams, a very comfortable double bed and a wonderful view of the mountains. Everything was very clean, including the bathroom, and the place was extremely quiet. The staff were kind and helpful. The breakfast was excellent, and we also had dinner in the restaurant both evenings — the kitchen was really good. Great value for money, highly recommended.

The room was huge, and comfortabla. The stuff was really nice and the breakfast was great! Easy to to park the car in front of the house.

The guesthouse is nicely located and well maintained. We had a newly refurbished room in a separate building across the street, which was spacious and clean. Staff is very helpful and nice, everyone speaks good English. Continental breakfast is superb. Variety of meats , cheeses, warm bread, croissants, etc. You can ask for gluten free as well .

Our check in was easy with a helpful member of staff and the location was good. We were actually in a building across the road which we were unaware when we booked but was good, clean and spacious.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment which is perfect for families. The property was very clean and they provided a baby cot for our 1 year old. They have a restaurant just across the road which is lovely.

The hotel often hosts live music as well! Check with the hotel before your stay to see when there are live performances. I also loved the check in/barman, Tony. He was very helpful and kind. I felt very well taken care of.

“Nice traditional hotel which breaths with atmosphere of local legend and offers tasty Slovenian food”

Rooms were huge, which surprised us the most, we had so much room in there it really felt like an open space. Breakfast amazing, partly brought to the table (great idea, to prevent food waste - thumbs up!) partly already prepared, with good choice of sweet or salty components. We had no idea the hotel was so renowned for Slavko Avsenik and Oberkrainer band, which is not really our cup of tea, but it was interesting to see the atmosphere and how the place ''lived'' with this traditional and famous music :) very close location to Lake Bled, in case there are no traffic jams which tend to happen in summer. Parking for free on the space opposite the hotel, even for campers. Rooms tidy & nice. We also had dinner in the hotel and the food was very fresh, even chicken meat locally sourced!
