The late check in. When we arrived, it was cold & raining. Jo in reception was lovely, checked us in & (for a fee) provided us with an appropriate cable to charge our EV. Our room was quite large, quiet, spotless, warm & inviting. Breakfast arrived at the allotted time & gave us a great start to the day. Although our plans meant we only stayed overnight, we could easily have stayed longer, it's only a few hundred metres from the Gorge Scenic drive, and a great base to explore the area from.

This was my second stay at the Golden Heritage and just as good as the first. I stayed in a room with a balcony overlooking the Beechworth landscape - beautiful in the evening sun. The facilities and decor are pleasant and up to date, the room large with armchairs and a table and chairs for meals/desk and equipped with everything one could need for an overnight stay. The room was as warm as I wanted it to be, there was an electric blanket if needed and the bed was comfortable. The room led off from a corridor which felt more like a smart hotel than a motel. I stayed for two nights and could happily have stayed for longer.

Good size room. Clean. Good parking… easy to find. Great instructions for entry when reception was not staffed. 15minute walk into the town of Beechworth.
