“Cute, cosy and comfortable! A great place to stay when visiting Beechworth”

French cottage is beyond great, Joanne has thought of everything when it comes to this house. It was so cosy and cute. There was a bottle of wine and chocolates on our arrival which was such a nice touch.

Beautiful property. We loved all the small details and extra effort the owners put in. Such as alternative milk in the fridge for every type of allergy. Heating system was amazing. And beds beautifully comfortable. Highly recommend

We loved the decor We loved the white French floor boards. It was great because it had everything you could possibly want, inside and outside the house - that is the garden - and basically it made me feel at home.

Beautiful old French style house and furnishings but with a spacious modern kitchen. Beautiful shrub based garden. The House was equipped with everything one could want. Plenty of parking available. Very quiet. A very attentive host. It is an easy 15 minute walk into town and an even shorter walk down to Lake Sambell and the Rail Trail.

“An indulgent stay, a delight to the senses and in a lovely town”

The presentation of the cottage, the decor was stunning as was the beautiful garden. Complimentary wine and chocolates were a lovely gesture and very much appreciated to add to the welcoming feeling. Location to town was terrific and we enjoyed a walk around the local streets, the cottage placed in a beautiful neighbourhood. We had everything we needed, except bubble bath!😁 we’ll definitely look forward to another visit.

“Exceptional stay!”

The French Cottages exceeded my expectations. I walked in and immediately felt at home and totally in love with its whimsical verandah that wraps around the property. The bedrooms were so fresh and clean and we wanted for nothing throughout the duration of our stay. The property location was a short walk to the lake and an easy leisurely 10 min walk into the Main Street. Communication with Jo was easy and she was available throughout our stay with any questions. She provided us with tips on great eats and reached out with easy check-in details before arrival and welcomed us to her cottage upon arrival. I would love to return again for sure!

French Cottage was the perfect place for a peaceful break. Extremely comfortable with a lovely sunny deck overlooking an established garden. We were fortunate to also enjoy the bonus of roses in bloom on the deck during our stay. The host has every amenity you could need covered and the home styling and decor inspires relaxation. Just a few minutes drive, or a scenic and interesting walk alongside the lake to the centre of Beechworth.

We loved the garden, herbs, well equipped rooms, comfortable beds, and tasteful decor. Location was.good for a short walk into town centre. Instructions were clear.

The home was beautifully renovated and kitchen well equipped. Beds were very comfortable and as we arrived in a cold snap the heating being turned on prior to arrival was most appreciated.

I just love staying at the French Cottage. This is the 4th time. I expect there will be many more.
