From simple questions at the time of booking, to our arrival at the property, Gaele was extremely helpful and friendly. The property is in an excellent location in Beaune very near the centre of town surrounded by great restaurants and local shops. The property was bright, spacious, well decorated and furnished and immaculately presented. We had a lovely visit and would certainly stay there again when in the area.

Arriving in 37c temperatures meant that the air-conditioning was a godsend! Super efficient and quiet and we needed it for most of our stay. Our host was so kind and informative and we enjoyed her company and discussions. Very comfortable rooms, beds and bathroooms. Kitchen was a real bonus and we enjoyed the terrace too when temps allowed. Excellent location for a nice walk into town.

La Dormance was perfect for our two night stay in Beaune. It was easy to find, exceptionally clean and comfortable, and a pleasant walk into the centre of Beaune. Each room is well appointed, with its own en suite, and there is a shared kitchen, living room and lovely sunny terrace. Gaële was very helpful in giving suggestions for local bars and restaurants.

Very warm welcome from a lovely host. A beautiful house in a fantastic location and spotlessly clean. There’s a kitchen and seating area as well as the outdoor terrace. Beaune is a beautiful town, don’t miss the bustling market day, excellent restaurants and the nightly light show displays. Gaële also made us a fabulous breakfast on the terrace.

It‘s located a 5 min. walk from the center of Beaune. Beautiful, clean and spacious room. Very comfortable bed, nice bathroom, good aircon, big closet. There is a nice and fully equipped kitchen in the house for the 3 rooms, a nice living room and a beautiful terrace to sit and relax or have meals. Big and save parking lot. Good wifi. The owner, Gaëlle was so nice and helpful and always available if needed. We would stay there again.

“Very Sociable”

Gaele (the proprietor) is very welcoming and helpful. We arrived very early because there was a storm due and we didn't want to get caught in it on our motorbikes. Gaele had no issues with giving us early access to the room. Her English is impeccable, which meant we didn't use our very poor French. We were invited to share a pre dinner drink on the terrace with Gaele and her other guests, which was lovely. Parking was secure, behind a high locked gate.

Relaxed and friendly host - rooms good size, thoughtful extras on bathrooms, beautiful bed linen and comfortable beds. Lovely sunny roof terrace and sitting room and a fully equipped kitchen area means you can self-cater too. What’s not to love?

Excellent host, very helpful. She served an excellent breakfast with regional products. Close to train station and own car parking.

The accommodation at La Dormance was superb - very clean and comfortable, excellent bed and bedding and lovely bathroom. The location is perfect for visiting Beaune, just a few hundred metres from the centre of the old town. Audrey, our host, made certain that we were comfortable and had all the information we needed - couldn't be better!

The level of cleanliness was excellent. However, the detergent used to wash all of the linens: bedsheets, towels, etc. was scented with a very strong perfume which I personally found to be quite overpowering. A specifically odd choice for a stay in a wine-tasting region where one’s senses should be open to enjoy the subtleties of nature.

We just came back from a month in Europe and La Dormance was a major highlight. Gaele our host was exceptional. Extremely welcoming and full of knowledge we had a fantastic stay and shared some wines and antipasto on her terrace which was a wonderful experience. The breakfast was fresh local produce and plenty to eat. The apartment is located easy walking into town centre and the car parking available on site is an added bonus. Value for money and for quality of stay I would rate La Dormance and Gaele's special attention as 10 out of 10. Highly recommend and would stay there again.
