Situated in the heart of Old Town Beaune and sheltered by its ramparts, the former 16th-Century convent, is now a charming 3-star hotel. Hotel Athanor Centre sits just a few steps away from the famous Hospices de Beaune, Notre-Dame Basilica and the shopping district. Fantastic location in the centre of Beaune, close to lots of restaurants. Easy and reasonably priced parking close by. Very helpful staff with great restaurant recommendations.

The staff of the Athanor hotel was very unfriendly. We booked 3 rooms for one night and 1 room for an extra night. Upon arrival we payed for the full stay (total amout of € 366 + € 119 = € 485). When our 23 year old daugther wanted to check out after the extra night, she was forced to pay again for the second night. We called with the receptionist in English and French, but the man was not open to reason and simply hung up the call. Afterwards we sent him a screenshot of the creditcard payment and only then he released our daugther. We are very surprised that there is so much mistrust and such incredibly rude communication. Sorry seems to be a difficult word...

The staff was very unfriendly and said we didn't pay for the rooms (€ 485). Our daugther stayed another night and couldn't check out before paying. When we called with the hotel desk in English and French, the phone was slam down by the hotel. After sending a creditcard screen shot she was released by the hotel without apologies.
