“Excellent family half term break”
A lovely relaxing half term week as a family in a beautiful setting. Martin and Maxine were excellent hosts and the meals they offered were delicious. They were so kind with the little touches and welcome treats including Halloween treats for our girls

“Fairytale cottage Perfect”
This place is a little gem. So beautiful and spotless. Attention to detail is superb. Lovely hosts. Highly recommend booking their dinner to cottage €15 pp 3 courses an absolute feast. Best food of our 5wk trip. Lovely villages nearby Sourdevil was nicest 5min drive. The cottage even smelt as good as it looks. As they've thought of everything

The warm welcome and hospitality from Maxine and Martin was complemented by the tranquil setting and beautiful cottage. Birdsong, star-lit nights, a wonderfully comfortable cottage and all this set in the stunning Normandy countryside - what's not to love?

“Gucci”
The cottage was amazing, cozy, quiet, more than enough rooms and toilets. The space around the house was huge and full of nice things (trampoline, pool table, swimming pool, table tennis, etc.). The countryside around has little light pollution, so if you're lucky you can see an amazing sky at night! Overall it was a truly amazing experience, we wish we would have stayed longer.

“Great place to stay”
Peaceful. Everything we needed. Great hosts who were very attentive and thoughtful. Lovely setting. Good kitchen equipment Good TV. Games provided for entertainment. Outside area lovely. Good that meals are available though we didn't know that in advance.

We had a truly unforgettable stay at the Gingerbread cottage. We thank Maxine & Martin for their warm welcome, their kind attentions and for the enthousiasm and discretion with which they surrounded us. The house is a charming and cosy nest in a sea of tranquility. The garden is surrounded by meadows and there is a large forest close by. The cottage was very clean and cosy, and very well equiped. There is a washing machine, a terrace, lounge chairs and the opportunity to use the enormous garden. The host is also an excellent cook. Our children, 13 and 15, enjoyed the garden and the darts, the pool and foosball table very much. We highly recommend this holiday house and will come again.
