“A Beautiful Family Stay with a Few Rough Edges”

STORY Seychelles has so much going for it. The location on Beau Vallon beach is simply stunning, and the rooms were immaculate — spotlessly clean, well air-conditioned, and with seriously comfortable beds. The cleaning team deserves real credit for maintaining such a high standard throughout our stay. The beach and pool area is gorgeous, and Sanjeev was a real standout — attentive and informative on a daily basis. The welcome from the valet and luggage team on arrival was warm and thoughtful, with cool towels setting a lovely tone. Andrew from the concierge team also deserves a mention for his proactive communication throughout our stay. The Ripples Pool Bar was a convenient and enjoyable spot, and the 1502 Bar was a pleasant place to wind down in the evenings, with staff who were clearly dedicated and working hard.

Our stay at STORY Seychelles was wonderful and exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived, the warm welcome made us feel immediately at home. The resort is beautifully designed, tropical, and relaxed. We were especially impressed by the friendliness and attentiveness of your team. Every staff member was consistently helpful and genuinely hospitable, creating a truly unforgettable experience. Our room was spacious, clean, and thoughtfully decorated, and we thoroughly enjoyed the offerings at all of your restaurants. The beach is absolute paradise, with turquoise water and breathtaking sunsets that perfectly capture the essence of the Seychelles. We enjoyed every minute of our visit and look forward to returning. Clean, luxurious, well equipped, many facilities and restaurants. The teppanyaki show at the Seyshima is incredible. But above all, the hospitality, kindness and generosity of the staff. To add some context, we were here for our wedding and honeymoon and they all were so sweat and helpful. Big up to : Andrew, Neige, Jean and her team, Sanjeen, Kamlesh, Anil, Wanita, and all the other staff members. Love you all !

I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. We stayed in a private beach pool villa which was stunning in every respect. Everything from the food/facilities/location are exceptional. What truly made our stay however is the staff. Whilst everyone we encountered were great a few people deserve a special mention as they affected our stay the most. Firstly Merna her levels of service went way beyond what was necessary. Sanjeev at poolside will again exceed your expectations in almost everything he does. Marie Ange and Charlette in housekeeping (the happiest person we have ever met always brought a smile to our face every day) thank you for servicing our villa to an impeccable level every day. Finally, Shamimin at Trader Vic's who again went way beyond what would be expected to make our stay as memorable as possible. A special mention for Thinzar your level of service was exceptional throughout our stay.

“Beyond Luxury - A Stay We’ll Never Forget!”

Our 10-day stay at Story Seychelles was nothing short of exceptional. Traveling as a family with our one-year-old daughter, Toti, we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience. The hotel is beautifully located with direct access to a breathtaking beach where the water is even bluer than the sky. Everything was spotless, fresh, and very well maintained. We stayed in a villa with a private pool, which gave us both luxury and privacy—something we truly loved. A special thank you to Mr. Siva, who took care of our villa with incredible attention to detail. His cleaning was flawless, and the beautiful decorations he created with handpicked flowers made every day feel extra special. There are a few people who truly made our stay unforgettable. Mr. Sanjeev at the pool is simply irreplaceable. His warmth, intuition, and genuine care are beyond anything we’ve experienced—he defines what true hospitality is, and to us, he is Story Seychelles. Mr. Abdo at the lobby bar—wow. His energy, charisma, and exceptional service are on another level. He makes every moment feel special. We will truly miss him. Jackline at the kids club is an incredible human being. Her genuine love for children made us feel completely safe leaving Toti with he, and Toti - she absolutely adores her. Lisianne from in-room dining was outstanding. Every morning she ensured our daughter’s breakfast arrived at the exact same time, with the same order, always with so much warmth and care. At Vasco’s, Natasha, Manoj, and Deepak provided excellent service. Malinda and Andrew made our evenings seamless with their help arranging reservations. Nipun at Seyshima, Samundra at Trader Vic’s, and Chef Rahan at Tête-à-Tête all delivered outstanding dining experiences—the three-course dinner on the beach is a must. During our stay, I injured my foot, and the care I received truly touched us. Jason went above and beyond, driving me everywhere so I wouldn’t have to walk.

Our stay was exceptionally beautiful! We stayed for three nights in a Beach Villa - so lovely! Beach is kept very tidy and well guarded! The staff is extraordinarily attentive and responsive. Everybody felt responsible no matter what hierarchy level. Neige and Thinzar from the customer relations/ reception area super helpful, proactive and friendly. One idea for potential improvement would be more local food in the buffet restaurant.

“Looking forward to the next trip”

We booked the Grand Beach Villa for four nights after we had a great dining experience in their Japanese restaurant Seyshima during our last year trip to the Seychelles. The villa stay was a dream. Spacious, comfy, clean, large private pool and five steps to the beautiful Beau Vallon beach. Staff is friendly and professional, gastronomic choices are great. If you wish to go „external“, well it’s a beautiful 10 minute beach walk, spectacularly romantic at night. What else are you looking for ?

We had great stay at the Story Seychelles. Staff was helpful and kind, we were promptly assisted with any requests we had. When at the pool and ocean, Lifeguard Sanjeev would see to our comfort and safety. Also guided tours can be booked directly at the Ocean Bird right next to hotel reception., which was very convenient. Thank you!

The staff were truly wonderful and very kind, from the moment we arrived until the day we left, we felt genuinely welcome. I would especially like to highlight the manager, Amma, who was always available, responded quickly, and was there whenever we needed anything. The hotel was very clean and well maintained throughout our stay. I should mention that the staff generally work at a slower, more relaxed pace, but I do not see this as a negative, it is simply part of the local mentality and lifestyle.

A truly wonderful stay. The hotel has a charming, boutique atmosphere and is beautifully located in a well-maintained tropical garden. What really made the difference was the staff — exceptionally friendly, helpful and always smiling. A perfect place to relax on Mahé.

“Abundant with wilflife”

The main reception hall is impressive. Looks like a an old temple. The proximity and walking distance to the most simple casino I ever seen in my life)

The hotel is very nice, the staff is very polite and caring. The room facilities are great. We checked iin late and were very tired. The process was done very quickly and at high level.

I very rarely leave negative reviews, as I travel frequently and usually have positive experiences. Unfortunately, this hotel is a complete exception and one of the most unpleasant experiences I have ever had. One of the main reasons I chose this hotel was the beach, which was advertised as clean and usable. In reality, the beach is completely unusable due to very poor hygiene conditions and visible dirt. Swimming was not possible, and staying on the beach was unacceptable. The actual conditions bear no resemblance to the photos and descriptions presented on Booking.com, which I consider highly misleading. Nowhere in the property description is it stated that the beach is public, even though the hotel is advertised as “beachfront” and claims to provide sun loungers, umbrellas, and beach towels. This creates a reasonable expectation that the hotel has a maintained and functional private beach, which does not exist. Furthermore, the hotel refused to take any responsibility for the poor cleanliness and conditions of the beach, justifying this by stating that the beach is public and therefore not their responsibility. I am traveling with my 11-year-old child. The hotel listing clearly states that there is a “children’s pool”; however, in reality, there is only a very shallow pool intended for babies, which is completely unusable for a child of this age. This is another example of inaccurate and misleading information. In addition, there are no outdoor activities for children, making this property unsuitable for families with school-aged children. There are also no activities for adults, and on rainy days the only option is to stay confined to the room. The number of sun loungers by the pool is extremely limited. Every morning guests are forced to wake up very early and literally run in order to possibly find a free sun lounger. We did not travel such a long distance or spend such a significant amount of money to compete for a place by the pool.

From the moment we arrived, everything felt calm, warm, and effortlessly beautiful. The stay was incredibly comfortable and peaceful, perfect for relaxing and disconnecting from everyday life. The atmosphere was quiet, safe, and ideal for rest, especially when traveling as a family. Service was warm and attentive without being intrusive, and everything felt well taken care of. A place we’ll remember for a long time and would happily return to. P.S.
