“CAREFUL CABLE CAR ACCESS ONLY”

Misleading access information and very poor customer service. Be careful before booking this hotel. The listing shows “parking”, which made us believe the hotel was accessible by car. Only after booking, we received an automatic email saying access is actually only by cable car. The last cable car is around 5 PM, which is a major limitation when visiting Switzerland with a rental car. This key information should be clearly shown before booking, especially for non-refundable reservations, not hidden far down the page. Had we known this, we would never have booked. When I first replied to the automatic email asking for more information about cable car access, they said they could see a cancellation notice, even though I had not made one. This suggests they confused me with another customer, and that this issue happens often. When we called to explain the problem and ask for a fair cancellation/refund, I stayed polite, but the staff were dismissive and belittling. Their first excuse was that they had declined many clients because we booked the last room, which suggests there was demand and they could find another customer with 5 days remaining. Then they gave contradictory answers: they said they could not do anything and that Booking.com had to contact them, yet they refused the refund requests several times. Instead of addressing the real issue, they said things like “don’t talk to me in that tone” and “you clicked the non-refundable booking, it’s not my fault.” At one point, they ended the call with “OK, thank you, goodbye,” without addressing the problem. The whole experience felt misleading, unfair, contradictory, and handled in bad faith. I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel. You may end up stuck with cable car-only access, an early last departure, and limited dining options, pushing you toward their overpriced and average restaurant. Dogs behave better...

Beautiful location with stunning 360 degree views of the surrounding mountains and lakes. For Switzerland the price was excellent value. It’s not mentioned in the listing on booking.com but the return cable car to the Berghaus is included in the price, you just had to show the booking confirmation at the ticket kiosk - plus free breakfast!!! The rooms were spotless clean and the staff very friendly. Will definitely be back to explore the walks in the area.

Excellent location with breathtaking views of the gigantic mountain trio in Swiss. The staff were amazing, catering to the needs of guests. Lot of hiking options were available on the top of the mountain.

Great last-minute mountain getaway! Small but functional room with its own sink. The beds and pillows are comfortable. Breakfast is simple but filling. Each floor has its own toilet and there are 3 or 4 individual shower rooms (rather than a bunch of shower stalls in one big shared bathroom).

Excellent location and service. The accommodation give me free for cable care. The room is very clean. I can see amazing view from the window. I love this hotel and will be come back for sure.

Staff was extremly friendly and supportive. The view is amazing. It is very quite place with no noises outside. Food is nice, a la card even for few people. Prices are absolutely fine for this location. Very nice expirience overall!
