“Comfortable hotel in central position with very kind manager”
As a 'budget traveller' on this trip, this was the first really comfortable hotel I used in Vietnam, and though I paid a more 'European' price for the privilege, I absolutely loved it. I arrived sopping wet in a thunderstorm after a 3.5 hour minibus journey from hell (from Sapa) and the corresponding relief of walking into a thoroughly nice hotel room with all mod cons was great. It had a huge window/decent outlook too, and though the bed was still Vietnamese-style super-firm, it had a little bit more 'give' than some :-) Tea/coffee making facilities. Nice clean white bed linen. Soft pillows. Comfy chair. Decent electrical sockets. Also (importantly) super-nice and flexible manager, who accommodated a late change of plan on my part very forgivingly. And an extremely good breakfast (bread/eggs/pancakes/fresh fruit/fresh fruit juice/tea/coffee) for fixed price of 120,000. It's also very central so a couple of minutes' walk from the market, if that's what you've come to see.

Nothing fancy, but everything you need. Staff is very kind and helpful. Good little breakfast. Rooms clean and everything you need nearby. Had a real nice stay here!

“Very decent!”
It was clean, affordable and central. Perfect place to stop and rest going from Ha Giang to Sa Pa. They changed our room without request from one with some VERY hard beds, to a room with pretty decent mattresses.
