“Incredible”
The breakfast each morning was plentiful. We had fresh fruit to start followed by croissant or other pastries, juices and plenty of coffee. Christine provided a large bagged breakfast each with drinks, pastries and fruit, as well as snacks for the mornings we had to leave early for tours, and they were very much appreciated. The museum was very interesting and we spent a great deal of time looking at the collection. Our bedroom was lovely, had its own bathroom with shower and Christine provided fresh towels whenever we wanted them. It was so nice having a chat with Christine, and she provided some really welcome suggestions of places to visit and where to eat dinner. We would definitely recommend staying here, and we will try to get back to visit another year. The walk into Bayeaux was an easy 15 or 20 minutes and the town is beautiful. Thanks again Christine!!

“Great stay”
We were greeted with a warm welcome by our host and were pleased to find the property motorcycle friendly with covered parking. The Manor House oozes character and even has its own museum dedicated to the D Day landings. It's a short walk into Bayeux with plenty of restaurants and of course the cathedral. Beautifully simple grounds. Lovely clean and comfortable accommodation. During our stay we visited the British war graves and museum which are both within walking distance and rode to the coast to visit the beaches which were quite stunning.

“We want to go back”
Christine was warm and welcoming. A great host who went to lengths to meet our needs. Plenty hot water, fresh clean towels and linen. Really comfy bed. The manoir is very old and as such it has creaking floors etc, however, this only added charm to our stay. The location was great. Peaceful with a 10 minute walk into town. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh. We would love to return sometime.

“Great spot to have as a base to explore the area”
Christine was a great host. Good communication with us. She provided us with suggestions on places to see/visit in the area and along the Normandy coast - as well as gave us maps to use. Breakfast was good with lots of options including crepes and eggs. The room was spacious and clean.

“Apart from the residence, Bayeux is a fantastic town to visit too”
It’s hard to know where to start, a centuries old manor with all the history to go with it, exceptional place to stay rural but still close to town

Our stay was excellent. Breakfast was good. The twin room was spacious and comfortable. And the wider grounds and buildings added to the rustic character of the hotel. Christine was great in recommending places to see and eat.

“Fabulous stay at Les Manoir des doyens”
This property is beautiful. The room was tastefully decorated and very clean. It had everything we needed except an iron. Breakfast was a grand affair in the dining room by candlelight. It was different each day and was beautifully presented. It is well located within walking distance of the Medieval Town, however we found you can easily park at the end of the street and then it’s a short stroll into the city centre. This was a better option for us. You won’t regret choosing to stay here!

“Absolutely Fantastic”
We thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay and Christine was an exceptionally lovely host who went above and beyond to make us feel very welcome. The manoir is absolutely beautiful and a quiet retreat, while still being close to the D Day beaches, museums and the Bayeux town center. Fantastic breakfasts, spacious rooms and really peaceful and quiet. We can't recommend highly enough.

Beautiful country manor house set in large Gardens. Situated on the edge of the city with an easy walk to the centre. We made made the most of the gardens in the evenings to sit and enjoy a glass of wine. Breakfast was typical of what you would expect in France. We would stay again.
