The house was fabulous and perfect for our visit. The bedrooms and facilities are very comfortable and nicely decorated. Kitchen, bathrooms and lounge area were also excellent. Thank you, Agnès et Marcel - you are delightful hosts.

“Fantastic house and hosts.”

We were welcomed with beer, champagne and coffee, biscuits and local caramels. This is a beautiful house and the hosts are very welcoming and they go that bit further. We stopped with our 4 adult sons. The rooms were made up beautifully. This house is the perfect location for central Bayeux (walking distance) and exploring the Normandy landing beaches by car. It has a huge back garden which is great for the whole family. The host had the BBQ fire prepared ready for us just to provide the meat to cook. The house is a few minutes walk from a lovely boulangerie (bakery) La Huche de Pain, and we enjoyed fresh croissants and baguettes every day.

The generosity and positive concern about our enjoyment from Marcel and Agnes, our hosts were truly exceptional. They welcomed us and provided a detailed tour of the property, maps of the area, detailed operating instructions for the property and appliances, plus Champagne. Marcel drove us on a tour of his home town of Bayeux, of which he was rightly proud. He made us reservations at their favorite restaurant, and it was a superb meal. They were terrific hosts! As a base of operations for our Mont St Michel and D-Day beaches tours it could not have been better.

This house has everything you need. Clean and comfortable. Marcel and Agnes are lovely hosts. Bayeux was central to our planned activities and is a lovely French town. I would recommend a group of friends or a couple of families to stay in this property.

Great location, close to town and shops. Super helpful hosts Marcel and Agnès. Beautiful large private garden, nice clean house, quiet at night. Loved the little extras like a welcome bottle of champagne, beers in the fridge, local produces (caramels, calvados, butter biscuits :), coffee capsules for the Tassimo machine, universal adaptor, wireless speaker.

We turned up in the middle of the night and had messed up part of the booking, but Agnes and Marcel could not have been more welcoming! Everything was clean and new. Marcel has done all the beautiful woodwork himself, so it's like staying in a work of art.

this property is immaculate inside and out. The living space is fantastic as are the bedrooms, all with aircon. the property also has a fabulous garden with various seating spaces, a BBQ and games. The owners Marvel and Agnès could not have been more helpful to us during our stay. Highly recommended.
