“A Home away from Home. One of our Favourite Stays”
Cannot speak highly enough of this property. Il Portico consists of 2 apartments. One suitable for a couple called 'Iris' and the other for a group of 3-4 people called 'Gardenia'. Both apartments have lake views. 1. OWNER. The property owner was very proactive. Vittoria contacted us ahead of our arrival to give us useful information about supermarkets in the area and recommendations of places to visit. As we were arriving in town by bus, she offered to collect us from the drop-off point and drive us to the accommodation. This was GOLD. She was always super prompt in responding and attending to any of our requests. 2. VENUE. The accommodation was modern, clean, a fully equipped kitchen, and all the amenities needed. It also had very accessible private parking for those with own car. We were very unwell when we arrived, having picked up a virus in our travels. This place became a home away from home - a refuge for us where we could recuperate a little from our hectic schedule. Vittoria had provided a heap of maps and useful tourist information inside the apartment which saved us going in search of tourist information office. 3. LOCATION. The location was awesome. Il Portico is situated between the towns of Baveno and Feriolo. It was in a very tranquil spot, away from the bustle of being in the centre of town or traffic noise. Yet it was only a 12 min walk into smaller town of Feriolo, or a bus ride into Baveno. The apartments are situated up on a hill with great lake views. If you want tranquility and calm with Northern Italian authenticity look no further. We loved it!

“Great location and well appointed apartment with a couple of inconveniences”
Lovely view of lake Maggiore. Very clean. Good quality towels and linen. Excellent shower. Parking spot very convenient. The bedroom while spacious and comfortable, is up a staircase, on a mezzanine floor. (This is something of an inconvenience for night bathroom visits for we oldies) The host was very accessible and responded to the best of her ability to our query about the tv..

“A perfect stay :)”
A wonderful apartment with everything you need for a comfortable stay. It's new and fresh with an extra large covered terrace. It has a nice feel and cozy beds. The location is perfect for walks, visit the islands and discover to whole area. We did get a fantastic info package and nice treats ;) Thank you Vittoria!
