Overview
Offering a private beach and swimming pool, Hotel Splendid is set right on the lakeside, 5 minutes' walk from Baveno centre. It offers panoramic views across the mountains and Lake Maggiore. Rooms are elegant and spacious with carpeted or wood floors and classic furniture. They offer a balcony with lake or mountain views, a flat-screen TV, laptop-sized safe and minibar. Each has a private bathroom with hairdryer and toiletries. The restaurant serves Italian cuisine. It features an outdoor terrace and has panoramic views of Lake Maggiore and the Borromean Islands. The pool at the Splendid Hotel features a hydromassage area. Guests also have a fitness centre with sauna. Baveno Port is 600 metres away for boat trips across the lake to Verbania and the islands.

Entry to gym for 25 Euro daily is really a bad idea and does not correspond with the cost of accomodation 300-400 Euro a day.

“Surface level great, hospitality, cleanness, quality and attitude zero”
The location is excellent, with absolutely stunning views. At the end of our stay, I shared our experience with a female staff member, possibly the manager. While she was apologetic, unfortunately, her words couldn't undo the disappointment we felt during our time there.

“Close to a 10.”
The scenery, the quality and the location are unmatched. Everything works, including perfect room temperatures. The food is excellent. We had a suite on the 5th.

“Fantastic.”
We had a brilliant stay. The staff were exceptional. I travelled with my daughter and they were all so kind with her. The meals on the lake were marvellous, and we enjoyed the pool and the beach. It was an exceptionally good hotel stay.

“Amazing hotel with beautiful location at the lake”
Location next to the lake, luxurious feeling of the room and beautiful hotel, huge room and bathroom, comfortable bed. I really liked the pool pool, beach, beautiful garden, and the bar at the beach. The breakfast had huge variety and was delicious. We tried the restaurant for dinner, it was really good and the view to the lake was amazing. We also got an upgrade to a room with lake view, we were very happy about it.

“Spendid stay in a chic & relax vibe !”
Amazing stay in a beautiful scenery. The room was gorgeous with a splendid view on the lake. The facilities of the hotel are greatly appreciated particularly the private beach. The staff was super helpful, too service, and never pushy during our stay. Highly Recommend for a weekend Gateway !
