Niko and his family are the most amazing people we met during our month in the Philippines! They took great care to make our stay the best and were always helpful. Niko showed us around the area - we saw a beautiful waterfall, a non-touristy cave, fireflies and much more. He taught us how to climb palm trees and we got some delicious coconuts a few times :))) we talked every day and we were able to learn a lot about the history and culture of the Philippines from the source. we are so glad we could have such a good time and relax. Thanks to this place we had the most local and amazing experiences!!! The location is great and it is a 5 minute scooter ride from Chocolate Chills and many other attractions. this family has a beautiful garden where you can see many animals and the sounds especially at night are amazing . If you like calm and quiet places without a huge number of tourists this will be for you! Niko and Sweetie - Greetings to you and we miss you already 😘😘

Wonderful Stay at Barril Green Homestay We felt very comfortable and welcomed during our stay at Barril Green Homestay. The breakfast, offered at a small price, was delicious, and renting a scooter was easy and hassle-free. Additionally, they kindly washed our laundry upon request, which was very helpful. The accommodation is very simple, and not everything works perfectly, so if you’re looking for more luxury, this might not be the right place for you. However, for those who appreciate a warm and homely atmosphere, this is a great choice!

Great family and interaction, everyone was doing something to assist, always enquiring if i needed a lift to the town or somewhere special, either by car or bike they owned. Open front garden and patio area with large table and chairs if you needed to work a power point was available I was constantly asked if I require diner or breakfast, a godsend in many ways if I didn't want to go into the small town. A very easy and pleasant experience all round, Nyko the 19 year old son was ready to take you anywhere, even walk locally to hidden forest walks, the little girls came to help mum serve food. nice

The meals were excellent with a variety I did not expect location is only minutes from Chocolate hills tourist centre, and half way to the smallest monkey centre

I haven’t felt more welcomed in the Philippines than here. Very friendly people. The owner ate is always in a good mood and always made us great homemade food. Furthermore she helped us plan our trip to local spots around Bohol. Overall it’s an awesome place to unwind, relax and escape the craziness of modern city life. Definitely will come back in the future. God bless the owner and her family!
