Good place to stay

Simple room close to the beach in a lovely homestay run by a very warm and welcoming couple. They lovingly prepared Sri Lankan breakfast every morning and let me borrow their bicycle for the duration of my stay. Jude, the owner, is a very knowledgeable guide as well and took me on a motorcycle tour to Thoppigala on the weekend. Would highly recommend a stay!

Lovely comfortable, clean and basic accommodation. Friendly and helpful hosts. Great location near the beach, peaceful and quiet. They gave me good advice re where to eat nearby and transport options to and from Batti. Breakfast was good.

Very comfortable

Jude and his wife were very friendly and helpful. The location is good, and the beach is close. Jude gave me a map of different things to do and see in the area and helped arrange a tuk tuk pick up for my early bus journey.

Small, cozy homestay in a quiet area, very close to the beach. The area is fenced and there are a lot of plants in front of the house. The main street in the town is about 10 minutes walk away, from where you can easily get a bus to Batticaloa. The room and bathroom are neat. The room is quite small, but sufficient, mosquito nets over the beds. The common space is a table with chairs and a large fridge. We highly recommend this place. And the best recommendation is that we came for 2 nights and stayed 6.

Unsurprisingly basic accommodation. Ideal for a single night stopover. Friendly host with good English language. Quiet location very close to Kallady beach. Excellent Indian Vegetarian Restaurant in walking distance.

The room was very clean and comfortable, and had good energy. The house too. I liked it more than some of the guesthouses nearby.

Very sweet couple running the Homestay. Overall clean. They kindly cooked us a meal on arrival. Nice common area with a table and seating. Budget accommodation. Was in the area badly hit by the 2004 tsunami and memorials can be visited easily from this Homestay.

Super friendly hosts, really making us feel welcomed and helping us with many good tipps… And amazing food :)
