We were looking for a local experienced and staying with Savet and his family did not disappoint. Savet was very welcoming and went over and above to meet our needs and expectations. Savet is very kind and passionate about his beautiful country. He would share traditional food with us and it was so interesting listening to stories about his life. My highlight was the easy paced bike road through the village where we got to visit a local school. Thank you Savet, we loved our stay at your Family Homestay. Highly recommend.

“Beautiful homestay”

This is such a wonderful homestay. Savet and his family are really welcoming and make you eggs for breakfast everyday, which is so kind. The room is spacious with a big bed and storage. The bathroom is a good size too. Although there is no Aircon, there are several fans which do a good job. The homestay is on a lovely plot of land with plants and flowers. They offer a free pick up service and Savet arranged for the bus company to pick us up before our onward journey. The outside space is also lovely for relaxing, but make sure to bring your mosquito spray.

“Amazing little home stay”

The bungalows we booked were lovely and had everything we needed, our hosts were amazing and organised transport onward to our next city as well as during our stay. Savet was very organised and communicative and nothing was too much trouble. We had a very interesting tour while we stayed in Battambang organised by Savet and his family were very kind and cooked for us. Would definitely recommend staying here and it was nice being a bit away from the city.

Such a lovely place to be and savet was the perfect host, so nice I stayed an extra night, savet organized my bus to Phnom penh as giant ibis was cancelled, would stay here again

Savet and family home stay was amazing they embrace you as family for the time you are there. They are attentive to your needs. Location is slightly out of the city but very easy to get to on tuk tuk that you can book via gran or family can help. Savet also arranges pick up, he offers a village tour and we were lucky with other guests to join his family new year celebrations which was so much fun and they all embraced so so warmly. While lack of AC may put you off it was much cooler than I expected and the three fans in the room does a good job and sitting by balcony is cool and there are always cold drinks available. Bamboo train ride is just walking distance but you can also take a tuk tuk to much futher one.

It was a good balance of rural and close to town. Savet was very kind and his family was so attentive. Nice nature sounds while sleeping. Yummy breakfast.

My friend and I stayed at Savet Family for 3 nights, and it was simply one of my best experiences in Cambodia! The welcome was incredibly warm, we immediately felt at home. Savet is a very caring and generous person: he spent a whole day showing us his world, his village, and the local way of life, a truly authentic experience! On the second day, we were also lucky to have a French-speaking guide, which made the experience even more enriching and enjoyable. He also helped us a lot in organizing our activities, giving great advice and arranging tuk-tuks for us, which made our stay really easy. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a genuine, authentic experience full of meaningful encounters!

Savet is an excellent host - friendly, generous and welcoming. The accommodation was lovely and authentic, with clean and ample facilities. We joined a cycling tour run by Savet which was excellent, and the breakfast each morning was amazing! He is very responsive and happy to help.

Savat and his family are wonderful hosts, so kind and attentive and they have built a beautiful homestay. A little out of town but his friend is always on hand to run you into town or to a local restaurant for dinner. Savat's tour of his local village is well worth doing - he is very knowledgeable about local life, clearly loves his people and, as a former English teacher, his English is impeccable. You really feel immersed in rural Cambodian life here.

Everything! Accommodation as described and Savet and his family couldn’t do enough for us. Allowed us to check in early, took us to the local shop and arranged a boat trip at very short notice for us. Even made us a takeaway breakfast as we were leaving at 0630

My stay at Savet Family Homestay was the highlight of my trip to Battambang! From the moment I arrived, Savet and his family made me feel like a member of their own family. Their hospitality is truly unmatched. ​The bamboo bungalows are absolutely amazing—they are beautifully built, cozy, and, most importantly, very clean and well-maintained. Every morning, I looked forward to the breakfast, which was fresh and very tasty! ​Aside from the great accommodation, Savet is an incredible guide. He took me on a tour where he explained the history and daily life of Cambodia with so much passion. We also went on the bamboo train, which was tons of fun and a must-do!

“A lovely homestay run by the kind, charming Savet and his family”

Savet and his immediate and wider family make this place very special. The rooms are simple, well-made bamboo huts Savet built, set in a small garden behind the family house. He was born in the village and is always happy to talk about local life. I encourage you to go on his village tour cycle trip. On it he explains about the history of his family, traditional Khmer life (marriage, crop growing, pagodas and religion, education, local government etc) that continues even now. The homestay is a quick and easy 10 mins by tuktuk to central Battambang, so provides a quiet semi-rural stay with easy access to surrounding sites.

Savet and his family were extremely welcoming, the room was clean, the location was in the countryside but very close to the city, and Savet organised/help organising all extra services with extreme precision and professionalism, I definitely recommend this homestay and I hope to have the opportunity to come back.
