“A great place for a real break from the rat race”

We went to Batchelor for our 25th wedding anniversary from Perth. We absolutely loved staying at the farm. The vibe was great with outstanding music playing and Chris is a wonderful character and host who couldn't do enough for you, even drove us to the pub 😀. Highly recommend this stay if you are a relaxed type looking for a little piece of heavan on earth. Really looking forward to returning soon.

“One of a kind accommodation”

Unique accommodation in Batchelor. While the accommodation itself is quite basica and not something you would write home about (the bathroom/shower have certainly seen better days), it was perfectly fine for a couple of nights while visiting the area. Chris the owner is the real USP: warm and friendly, he made us feel very welcome from the moment we stepped in. The place itsel is very quiet and built around the idea of relaxing and enjoying a slow pace of life. In terms of recommendation: if you're expecting Hilton or Marriott-level of service, you would be bitterly disappointed. But if you stay for a night or 2 and are open to a different experience, then you may actually enjoy it.

I would sum this up as an experience. Room had everything it needed and was clearly loved, but was quite outdated. Food in the restaurant was okay. Not much accommodation available in Katherine so this was doable despite being a little too 'off-piste' for us.

Every d*mn thing! Chris and his wife are amazing hosts! They greet you like a friend and they show you all the animals they have. They have a croc named Zeus which he shows you and lets you feed the 18 rabbit they have as well! Great place to stay if you have kids.

Fantastic friendly owners. On-site restaurant in a wonderfully quirky environment. I didn't feel well & wasn't hungry, but Chris quickly made me a mango crumble - super yummy. Kids will LOVE it, animals all over the place - Charlie the python, goats, pigs, chickens. A real fun stay.

“Quirky, fun and relaxing.”

This place was an absolute delight. I took my 9 year old grand daughter and we stayed for one night, both of us really wished we stayed for two. Feeding the animals was so much fun and such a great experience for her being a "city dweller". The free range animals were great and the bunnies, so many bunnies. And of course there were butterflies. not hundreds of them but it was nice to see some butterflies. Our cabin, was Alice in Wonderland themed and was very comfy. Loved that the towels were arranged like a butterfly. Chris the host is so lovely - even after a day it felt like we were leaving a long time friend.
