“Discovery a community”
The place was really special! The hostel is comfortable and clean, and the family that manages it is super nice and helpful. They brought us with their boat to do one of the most incredible experiences: swimming at night with luminescent plancton. The village of Barù is a lovely Afro community on the end of the island. It’s important to say one thing: the village is very run down but the community is rich of history, so if you are looking for a touristic spot you should look for something else, the bad reviews for this places are coming from people that were expecting something else. On the other hand, if you are willing to discover a special place, you are gonna love it, as we did!

Very nice and interesting village. We had an amazing time on the tours with the senior of the hostel. The atmosphere at the hostel was always open and friendly. We’d stay there again.
