Rataview Cottage and Rata Cottage are situated on the edge of the stunning Paparoa National Park on the South Island's West Coast. Rataview has full 180 degree view of the magnificant coastline and Rata Cottage has partial views from the dining area. The deck at Rataview allows you to enjoy watching the lovely West Coast sunsets. Both units have full kitchen and bathroom facilities access to a shared laundry, free-to-air channels and 3G mobile access. The property is located near Barrytown, only 12 minutes' drive to the famous Pancake Rocks at Punakaiki and the nearest Cafe - Pancake Rocks Cafe. Greymouth and the closest shops are 26 km to the South.

House was adequate but very sterile & basic facilities, furnishings. Not inviting, no sofa, no Freeview TV, no washing machine or dryer. Not very private, not much of a view. No games or books. Website didn't show which photos related to the cottage vs the front house.

“Perfect for our needs!”
I had the best sleep I have had in a long time. It was very quiet, warm and very accessible. Away from the hustle and bustle! The facilities were perfect for our needs. We enjoyed hanging out in the lounge area as there was plenty of room!
