“Perfect!”

We had such a lovely stay at this cosy B&B. Nicola, our thoughtful host, called ahead to check our ETA and had the heater on, making our arrival warm and welcoming. The room was tranquil and beautifully styled, with a peaceful garden, pond, and splash pool adding to the calm. Breakfast was a delight – fresh fruit, sourdough, rusks, boiled eggs, and homemade touches. The attention to detail was truly five-star.

The White House was absolutely a golden choice in Barrydale! Lovely Nicola welcomed us with open arms and offered us a lovely room with terrace. Loved all the details at this place! Breakfast was prepared in the evening for us to take and enjoy as we pleased the next morning. Nicola even made a reservation at a restaurant just a stone's throw away and it turned out to be excellent food with outstanding service. Can only recommend!

Accommodation in over 200 year building was excellent and above all different and fun. Nicola is an excellent host who provides a very pleasant stay, good breakfast and homely environment. Recommended as an alternative to conventional hotel.

Huge shower, big comfortable bed & a garden bursting with character. Loved the homemade liver pate and thought the warm freshly baked hot cross bun were a lovely touch considering it was Easter Weekend.

After a long honeymoon , travelling back to Gauteng was never easier ! The White House is an absolute Gem on its on hidden deep in Barrydale. Our stunning host made our stay the most pleasant and easiest one ever !!! Our new little friend , Bella the cat kept us company for the entire time we were there. There’s so much to do in Barrydale , we had so little Time to do everything ! We will be back soon enough to come visit Bella ☺️ Thank you for making our stay the best 💕🌻

Quaint, private, calming and relaxing. Well equipped rooms and the pool was gloriously crisp on a very hot day.

It has an Olde World charm, a soothing garden and it’s run by a very caring, hands-on host, Nicola, who went the extra mile and secured reservations at the 2 busiest restaurants in town.

It had a real colonial feel. We were the only ones there so perfect for a 1 night stop over. Mid way point between Stellenbosch and Wilderness. The host, Nicola, was super friendly and make us feel very welcome. Perfect little kitchen area within the room with homemade jam and pate. A rare find. Host also booked us a table at the local hotel for dinner, just a short walk. Also a fabulous find. Loved it.

The authenticity of the home really spoke to its reason for being a BnB as a heritage home. One really got to feel the realness of such a wonderful period home.
