Overview
Set within 35 km of Grootvadersbosch Nature Reserve and 45 km of Drostdy Museum in Barrydale, Over Karoo Inn features accommodation with seating area. Great location in walking distance to local shops & restaurants. Set back from the main road ensuring a tranquil stay . Cozy , well appointed with a lovely verandah to relax on .

Lovely spacious room full with everything you need to make your stay comfortable including useful things like some milk, coffee and a small heater as it was coming into winter. The location is very close to several places to eat and though we did not have the time the scenery around was beautiful and would have been great to hike a little. Felt very safe around. Owners really helpful.

I found Over Karoo in to be PERFECT for our one night stay. The host, Janine, was friendly, communicative during the arrangements and very sweet. The place had everything we needed, secure parking, privacy, and it's situated buildings away from the popular eating spots. It was a beautiful! And if you love the sound of nature and birds in the morning with your coffee, this is definitely a perfect spot to settle for the night.

“Absolutely stunning venue for stay in Barrydale”
Rooms are super clean and comfortable. Schalk and Janine should be super proud about their place. The attention to detail, the layout of the rooms, the garden, etc. are exceptional. It was my second visit, and it will be for sure my go to place when travelling through Barrydale. It is in the main stretch, and all restaurants are walking distance from Over Karoo Inn. My wife was very impressed that the blow dryer, seating, mirror, plug is all together for convenience.
