“Best pousada ever! With a lot of heart at the river.”
Everything! It’s the best Pousada I’ve been to - and I have seen a good number of them. All very well kept and clean. No hurry when building it, but all things properly built, i.e no u painted corners or overpainted stuff. No paint on th stone etc. The owners and staff are super nice and helpful. They help you book tours and are always there for you. Immediate help if you have questions. On top of that is the location directly at the river super nice. All in all I would give more than 5 stars if possible.

“Fantastic place by the river”
Very happy that I stayed here. Asked the hotel via WhatsApp about airport transfers and tours and gave them my flight arrival and departure times/dates etc and the hotel replied within 1-2 hours with a plan and options which we then agreed on. The hotel arranged a private transfer to pick me up from Sao Luis airport upon my arrival at 1.30am for the roughly 4 hour drive to the hotel! The driver Marcelo was polite & reliable and drove safely - he WhatsApp me a photo of himself and the exact spot he would wait for me i.e. outside Subway and he was already there when I arrived at the airport and we left for the hotel in Barreirinhas straight away. The vehicle was comfortable. For the airport transfer back, the hotel arranged a shared van ride since there were other passengers also so it was much cheaper and the seat was comfy. The day tour to the 2 Lagoas/lagoons was good and the price was reasonable. Having breakfast with a view of the river was great. The room was clean, comfortable and new (just renovated?). The hotel was walking distance (about 1km or 20min walk) to the town center with its restaurants by the river (the river made a u-bend from the hotel) and there was a big supermarket along the way. The staff could not speak English but used a translator. Definitely recommend this hotel especially if you cannot speak Portuguese and you want a reliable & efficient/effective hotel to arrange pickups/transfers and tours.

The pousada is very nice with an outdoor space on the river. Room was very small but we could fit! Breakfast is good with enough options to choose from. Overall, I recommend it!

Breakfast was amazing, the view from the pousada is great, there is a cheap shuttle that brings you to Sao Louis airport: ask the reception to book it some days in advance.

We stayed at this Pousada for three nights as a couple and had a wonderful time. The property is located by the river, offering stunning views and a great spot for swimming. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed with complimentary coffee, and our room was ready. The room itself was spacious and comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the breakfast was delicious. The Pousada also has private parking and is conveniently located close to the town center, where you can find a few good restaurants.
