Built in 1930s in Barranquilla's El Prado neighborhood and only one block from the Modern Art Museum, El Prado features neo classical rooms with modern amenities. Free parking is also offered. “Great old style hotel perfect for a few days relaxing”
The ground are beautiful, the pool area is gorgeous and the pool is huge. Three or four places to eat and drinks. Loads of staff and really friendly. Great service.

“Step Back in Time Into the Luxury of the Past”
This was the first 5-star hotel in South America. The huge palm trees around the pool make you feel like you're walking into a 1940s movie. It's a bit old-fashioned, but extravagantly luxurious, with all sorts of extra facilities: business centre, in-house pizzeria as well as a more upmarket restaurant, two small convenience stores, poolside bar, uniformed bellhops who cart your luggage around and introduce you to your room. In spite of this, it's good value for money. (The area around the hotel is safe and walkable, even at night--this is not true of many other areas of Barranquilla.)
