Overview
Set in peaceful 26 acres of grounds, just 6 miles from the historic market town of Penistone, Wortley Hall offers 3-star hotel accommodation as well as a restaurant, a bar, an on-site fitness centre, free parking and free WiFi in all rooms. The bedrooms all have a bathroom with a shower and some also have a bath. Other facilities include tea/coffee and TVs. The bar lounges serve food everyday and our 2 Rosette Ruddy Duck Restaurant is open Tuesday to Saturday serving British contemporary cuisine featuring local Yorkshire produce. Guests can enjoy a Sunday lunch from 12 until 14.30. Wortley Golf Club is half a mile from Wortley and Westwood Country Park is a 5-minute drive away. The property is just 4.2 miles off M1 Motorway. The hotel is 5 minutes from junction 35a/36 on the M1. The garden, with its lake, provides an ideal setting for a walk.

“Lovely venue and caring staff.”
Staff were lovely and very accomadating. We were there for a wedding and had a medical emergency the morning of checking out. We were a little late to breakfast and check out because of this and the staff were very calm and understanding.

The views were amazing and the gardens were beautiful. Our room was very spacious and extremely clean 👌. They were short staffed in the bar but I must say the young lady that served us was very nice even under a lot of pressure ( wedding was taking place) the young lady once the que had gone down did come to speak to us. I didn't catch her name unfortunately but management should praise the young lady.

“Fair butcould be so much better”
Lovely period building in great surroundings.. staff were friendly and easy to park.the showers were powerful. The food was of a good standard

“We'll be back”
Setting, the slightly work in progress nature of the ongoing renovation work. The trade union ties. The diverse team. The gardens. Food was great Rooms were great. Will definitely be our future base in the area when visiting family and the beautiful countryside of the Peaks.

“Not worth the cost, location is beautiful but facilities are basic and there is much room for improvement.”
Beautiful properly in a very beautiful location. Room was compact but clean and comfortable to stay in. Fresh bedding and towels. I didn’t use the dining room facilities so I can’t comment on the food.

“Amazing place BUT do make sure you don’t book while there is a wedding or event”
Location, staff and the hall were great . The room was basic but clean and tidy with everything we needed. BUT the room they gave us was right over a wedding reception! The whole room was vibrating with noise for hours until midnight it really tainted the experience of a peaceful getaway.
