“Beautiful cottage and location”

The cottage was in a beautiful location with a close walk to the pub Biddy's, which provided fabulous food and a great atmosphere. We loved exploring the area around the cottage and it was also a close drive to the lovely Donegal town. The cottage itself was comfortable and perfect for our family of 6. It was clean and had everything that we needed and more, board games, milk, bread and provisions on our arrival as well as cleaning products, bathroom products and the children loved the space outside to play. The staff involved and owners of the cottage went above and beyond for us during our stay. We were just sorry we couldn't stay longer!

“Barnesmore Cottage, Donegal”

We really liked the cottage. very quaint and old Homely feel. The facilities were excellent. Two fire places with logs supplied. large smart TV and comfortable couch. 4 arm chairs around the central fire place, great place for a chat or sing song. beds were very comfortable. Location was nice and quiet in the middle of a forest and 5 min walk to the bar/restaurant (Biddy's). Melissa went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed, basic food supplies, logs, water, hot water, cooking facilities. 5 min drive to the busy town of Donegal town. full of great bars and restaurants. 40 min drive to experience the wild Atlantic way. We would definitely rent this property again.

We loved the location. They thoughtfully provided Easter eggs. Early check-in was allowed upon request. The house was very warm and cozy.

We had a fantastic and comfortable time staying in Barnesmore cottage. It is well equipped with everything you need for a break away. The endless supply of logs and the open fire made the stay even more enjoyable and cosy. The cottage is set in beautiful surroundings and plenty to do in local towns. We will definitely be back.

Lovely cosy, characterful house with a thoughtful welcome basket from the host. Logs & kindling were provided to light the fire too. The location was great for exploring the local area & there were lots of stunning short walks just outside the door. Lovely to wake up to the sound of the stream behind the house.

The downstairs shower did not work,which would have been a bonus if it had.

Old charm with modern conveniences. Great to have Internet and Netflix, withdrawal might have been too much 🤣 Everything we needed was provided, thank you. Peaceful, a step away from the fast paced world. Star gazing without the glare of electric light! Location was beautiful, stunning views. Great to have "Biddys" on our doorstep.

the location was overwhelming. the peaceful silence was exceptional. Big shout out for Biddy Barnes...the staff couldn't do enough for you. Our dog was getting selfies with the patrons.

Rustic cottage with a lot of space. Staff were amazing and very helpful. Close to the wedding venue we travelled for. Lots of towels and extras included to make it more homey. Will defo Recommend to family and friends.

Wonderful location and really cosy cottage, feels like stepping back in time. The kids loved the cottage and the surrounding walks. Great location to explore and lovely to have the pub only a short walk away. Donegal and supermarkets only a few minutes drive away too.

We absolutely love Barnesmore Cottage. Our second time staying here. Couldn't ask for better hosts. Stunning view's. House has everything you could need. Cosy, comfortable and a quiet setting. “A lovely cottage near Donegal Town”

We very much liked the cute and spacious cottage which contained three bedrooms and three bathrooms, two sitting rooms and a well-equipped kitchen. Everything was perfectly clean and functional. The nights were quite chilly so we used the central heating which was great. (There are two wood-burning fireplaces but we didn't use those.) The tap water can become a bit peaty after heavy rainfall but we were provided with plenty of bottled water without even asking! The cottage is situated among lovely hills with a stream running by. Donegal town and supermarkets are conveniently only 10 minutes drive away. Visiting Biddy's pub is a must!
