“Peace and comfort”

“Simply simply lovely!”
Amazing cozy place, maintained with care and passion. You'll feel like home since the very first steps into Casa Raisol. Plenty of green and great vibes! The breakfast is excellent. You'll get local fresh fruit, various types of omelets, croissants, arepas and of course delicious Colombian chocolate milk. Juan Carlos is a fantastic host who gladly guided us during our staying in Barichara. Absolutely recommended! You'll love this place!

Juan Carlos is the perfect host who went above and beyond to make our stay extra special. In 2.5 months of travelling through Latin America, my friend and I agreed this was the best place we’ve stayed! Truly exceptional. We loved the breakfast in the courtyard with varied fruit and fresh juices plus delicious coffee. The casa is spotless, with a super comfy bed and large hot shower. It is ideally located and Juan Carlos kindly gave us travel advice and brilliant restaurant suggestions. I HIGHLY recommend staying at Casa Raisol.

Juan the nicest man in Colombia!! He was so warm and friendly, sent links to local attractions and restaurants/cafes, speaks very good English and made us feel very welcome. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable with an amazing shower. We also really enjoyed the delicious and generous breakfast (fresh fruit, egg and pastries), as well as the stocked mini fridge in the room. The location was great and close to everything. I would 100% recommend you stay with Juan if you are coming to Barichara, this place is great value for money!

“The heart of Barichara”
Our stay at Casa Raisol was simply amazing. The rooms were clean and the bed was nice, also the amenities were more than sufficient for our needs. But above all, it was Juan that made our stay memorable, he went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. From the beginning he told us “Mi casa su casa” and he made that reality. For anyone looking for a place to stay in Barichara, casa Raisol is well located, clean and comfortable with an amazing host who will ensure you of an amazing stay.

Casa Raisol was our favourite stay after travelling for almost 2 months. It's a really peaceful place where you can properly relax and switch off. It's also in a great spot for exploring the beautiful town and its surroundings. The breakfast was amazing! We were even offered a traditional broth for breakfast as a change on our last day. Juan Carlos was an excellent and super friendly host. He provided several really good recommendations around the town and was always on hand to help out. He kindly offered to upgrade our room as we arrived early and he had availability. Really kind and accommodating of our very basic Spanish!

Best accommodation we have had so far. The host and his aid were very kind and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious, the premises were clean, and the bedroom in this 200 years old building was particularly comfortable and charming. Barichara has been a real pleasure.

“Unforgettable hospitality and personalised Barichara experiences”
Casa Raisol quickly became one of my all-time favourite places to stay in nearly five years in Colombia. The owner, Juan Carlos, is simply AMAZING! His outstanding hospitality ensured our stay in Barichara was unforgettable. He is really well-connected in Barichara and wants his guests to have the best experience – he even managed to get us into a fully booked brunch spot and recommended a pop-up chef dinner event. You can arrive at Casa Raisol knowing nothing about Barichara and still be sure to have a fantastic time tailored to your interests. He was always ready to help with anything on WhatsApp. Our room was comfy, clean, and spacious, especially the triple with two double beds. The excellent WiFi was a big plus, especially for my partner who needed to work during our stay. Breakfast was fantastic, with a chance to try local tamales, if you want. For a relaxing stay and insider tips in Barichara, Casa Raisol is the place!

“Beautiful and homely hotel”
Juan Carlos was an amazing host - from the moment we arrived, hot and tired from our drive from Bucaramanga, he made us feel so welcome and comfortable. Some of the best service we have ever received in a hotel, Juan's restaurant recommendations and help organising transfers and giving local advice was top tier. Breakfasts were delicious and varied, and the location was in the centre of Barichara, with a beautifully decorated room and well kept garden. The bathroom was huge and had a lovely shower. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Everything was AMAZING. The best hotel we've stayed in Colombia! The room was nice and clean, also smelled so nice 😍 Juan was the best host we could imagine - very helpful, it felt like home. Breakfast was also amazing. Area is very safe and beautiful.
