Overview
Dating back to 1924, the impressive Villa Moorings is 700 metres from Barga Cathedral. It features a 3000 m² garden with swimming pool, sun terrace and gazebos. This boutique hotel is family run just outside Barga's medieval centre. It has a terrace on the first floor with tables and chairs. A buffet breakfast is served each morning, while the restaurant opens on request only and uses local, 0 km, ingredients. Rooms have warm colour schemes and attractive wrought iron beds. Some have wood-beamed ceilings. They all come with TV, free Wi-Fi access and a minibar. Each bathroom has a hairdryer and toiletries. Free parking and a garage for motorcycles is provided at Moorings Villa. It is around 45 minutes' drive from the historic town of Lucca and the A11 motorway.

“Perfect!”
Everything! Beautiful room in a beautiful hotel. The room was spotlessly clean and well equipped. Loved the view from the balcony. The rest of the hotel was spacious both inside and out, and there were plenty of places to sit and relax. There was a huge choice of great quality food at breakfast time. All of the staff were very friendly and did everything they could to make our stay special, and I've have given a 10 out of 10 rating anyway, but Beatrice was the icing on the cake! She really went out of her way to make us welcome. She even gave us a lift to the next town when were unable to find a taxi. Absolutely perfect stay.

The best hotel we have ever stayed in. The ambience, warm welcome, beautiful room and breakfast second to none. Beatrice welcomed us like a family. She explained everything about local area and invited us to the Liberation Day celebrations. Nothing was a problem. Room was beautiful, huge, comfortable bed. Breakfast on both days was probably the best we had in a long time. Fresh, home made food, plenty to chose from. We asked to book taxi to and from the hotel to the train station and that was organised without hesitation. We araleady planning to come back and will definitely stay with Beatrice and her team :)

Way beyond my expectations. It is a beautiful building with huge rooms. The breakfast served in an incredibly well appointed dining room presented all sorts of temptations. The scrambled eggs and bacon were consistently tasty.
