Thank you very much for a wonderful stay! I am very satisfied with everything. The host was kind and very helpful, and the apartment had all the amenities I needed, such as a fridge, hair dryer, kettle etc. The city is beautiful, and I was able to park my car in a free public parking area just a few minutes away from the property.

We love everything about Casa Cordati. Such a rare opportunity to stay in a place with such history and atmosphere at such an accessible price. It is not for those who want luxury, but for those who seek the interesting and unique, it is wonderful.

A very interesting apartment in an artist’s house. His grandson Giordano is very hospitable and punctual — he responded to messages immediately and met us upon arrival. The apartment is very spacious and located in a historic building. There’s even a kettle, which is not always common in Italian homes. The location is very central, right inside the old town. There’s free parking about 400 meters away, but you can also stop near the entrance to the historic area to unload your luggage. Parking is free at night. I highly recommend this accommodation to immerse yourself in the history of the city and feel like part of the place.

amazing location the Casa Cordati is more an old palazzo than a Casa and one floor is entirely dedicated to a gallery of Bruno Cordati's paintings . The owner, Bruno's grandson Giordano, who lives in the house is a perfect gentleman.The view across the Garfagnana mountains is spectacular. Charging our electric car was very easy at the local car park too.

Casa Cordati is a truly unique property in the best location. Giordano is a lovely host who looks after you well and is very kind and helpful. The casa is amazing. Extremely spacious and offers everything and more that you need. It has a beautiful art gallery with paintings by his grandfather and Giordano himself also paints There is a spectacular Altana in the roof space with beautiful murals on the wall and amazing views over Barga to the mountains and valley. Our apartment within the casa was huge and typically Italian, we loved it very much indeed. I also really enjoyed playing the piano in the hallway.

“Discovering Barga”

The suite had everything to make one comfortable - a good bed, nice pillows, lots of light, temperature adjustment, clean linens, kettle, fridge, dishes, good shower, quiet, WiFi. It was right in Old Barga very close to a bus stop. The host provided anything that was missing and was readily available. The Pattiseria Lucchesi was great with lovely gluten-free pastries. I enjoyed strolling the old town, walking up to the cathedral, and walking in the valley park under the bridges. Villa Caproni had a very interesting photography exhibit and a kind, informative gallery host. It was rather cool and drizzly in Barga at the time and since Casa Cordati is a huge, old stone manor, some warm clothes were required.

“Interesting, beautiful, comfortable and spacious rooms”

Our host was fantastic and could not have been more welcoming or responsive. The building is fabulous with a gallery across many rooms. Our suite was made up of a huge bedroom with a separate small reading room, kitchenette and bathroom. We had everything we needed and more.

Great location and a very nice apartment.. The owner was friendly and helpful.. We enjoyed our stay and would return again.
