Overview
This modern student residence offers functional rooms with a small kitchenette and free wired internet. It is situated next to Barcelona’s Ciutadella Park, just a 15-minute walk from Barceloneta Beach. Part of Pompeu Fabra University, Residencia La Ciutadella has a gym, 2 TV rooms, a games room with billiards, table football, table tennis and a furnished terrace. Guests can borrow laptop computers, hair dryers and irons from the 24-hour reception. Each simple room at La Ciutadella has a private bathroom, a kitchenette and free wired internet access. Executive studios have a flat-screen TV and daily cleaning service. The residence is just 10 minutes’ walk from Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter. Estació del Nord Bus Station and Arc de Triomf Metro Station are around 500 metres away. Pompeu Fabra University Campus is 20 minutes' walk away. The Residencia offers accommodation to all members of the educational or university community. Single and twin rooms are available from 1 July until 31 August. Apartments with a separate lounge can be booked all year round. The residence is open to the university community, including students, professors, researchers and administrative staff all year round.

“No security, when you return to hotel you find door of your room open. Guest complaints are left by the staff without an”
Customer service absolutely unacceptable. Huge Security risk for your belongings left in room and theft of personal data from documents left. Two times after returning from sightseeing Barcelona we found door of the room open. Each time we submitted complaint form to the reception staff but no reply to complaints received. They do not care. I have never ever experienced such neglect of responsibilities from host property. In summer room are hot as there are no air conditioning system. Walls are very thin so you can hear conversations in other rooms all night long. I do not recommend.

The staff at the entrance are the most kind people I’ve met. Especially if you know little Spanish. Location is great with the L1 not too far away and parc de la Ciutadella.

Excellent location. Good security. The kitchenette was a major plus, despite the sparse and poorly kept utensils etc. The staff was great, friendly and helpful. I know the city well and my room reminded me of some of the old apartments of friends. Honestly, despite the inconveniences I've mentioned, this was a very good option for me.

The staff was extremely nice and welcoming. The rooms were allright, nothing unexpected. But the area where its located is pretty great as well. The bar right next to the residence serves some excellent breakfast.
