Overview
Located 250 metres from Barcelona's Arc de Triomf and Plaza Urquinaona, Black Swan Hostel offers free snacks, free WiFi and air-conditioned rooms. It has a 24-hour reception and a public area with flat-screen TV. Fitted with wooden flooring and large floor-to-ceiling windows, rooms boast a rustic décor with modern furniture. The rooms include private lockers with universal plugs, as well as bed linen. The hostel has a shared bathroom with showers and towels are available at an extra cost. The property boasts a fully-equipped kitchen with fridge, microwave, oven and hobs. There are also vending machines selling snacks and drink inside the property. You will find a wide range of restaurants, bars and supermarkets in the surrounding area. Staff can provide information about what to see and do in the city. Public parking is available nearby. Plaza Catalunya, Ramblas and Gothic district, are 10 minutes’ walk away. The closest metro stations are Urquinaona and Arc de Triomf, just 2 minutes’ walk. Regular buses connecting to Girona Airport and to Costa Brava Coast leave from a bus stop located just 600 metres away.

They staff was friendly and helpful even despite the fact that I arrived around 02:55 am they pointed me to my bed and everything was smooth after that. They even aggred to keep my bag until I came back to collect it at some point of the upcoming day.

“Best social hostel I've ever stayed in”
The activities run by the staff are brilliant - the day trips are a great way to meet new people even if you dont drink however thats always an option. The staff are super friendly and seem to be having as much fun as you are. The pub/bar crawls are also brilliant - I met so many wonderful people.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The location is fantastic, with plenty of attractions, restaurants, and supermarkets just a short walk away, making it the perfect base for exploring the area. They also offer a complimentary dinner every evening (you just need to sign up at reception), which is a great opportunity to meet other guests and enjoy a delicious meal.

“Hugely disappointing but forced me to stay out of the hostel as much as possible”
Good location - I was able to walk to most major locations ie Barceloneta beach, Barcelona cathedral, Sagrada Família etc. ( max 30 min walk). I did not have to use public transport

Everything was completely perfect! Personal of hostel was friendly. Food from girls was also really good. Big big thanks to Chiara for perfect food. And Nicolas and Laia for perfect and friendly service! I will come back one day! Activities during all day, round trips in city showing hidden gems of Barcelona, Afternoon beach with sangria and evening events are pretty good organisated! :) I wish you all the best guys! :) Nice time in Barcelona :)

We had a wonderful stay at the hostel. Everything was clean, well organized, and comfortable. The staff was very kind, friendly, and always helpful with anything we needed. We genuinely felt welcomed and taken care of from the moment we arrived. We also had absolutely no complaints regarding either the hostel itself or the location — everything was perfect and very convenient for exploring the city. A special shoutout to our host Nico — from Jelena and Jovana 😄 Nico was amazing, super helpful, and always in a good mood.
