Stayed here for a second time after such a great experience the first time around. It's a roomy property with lovely gardens and outdoor areas. It's secure, safe and with plenty of home comforts and were allowed to stay a little longer in order to spend more time with family. I get the impression that the owners are also trying to further improve the property too - internet/ outdoor areas for example - so will only get better. We also walked around Barberton itself and it's a lovely little town with a great history. Hopefully will stay here again in the future.

This beautiful historic home perfectly reflects the charm and rich heritage of Barberton, making it an ideal place to stay when visiting the area. What truly set this experience apart, however, was the exceptional hospitality of the hosts. After we experienced a vehicle breakdown, they went above and beyond to assist—helping arrange a tow, offering support and even ensuring that hot pizza was waiting for us when we finally arrived. Their kindness and genuine care turned a stressful situation into a memorable experience. I would highly recommend this guest house to anyone staying over in Barberton or exploring the surrounding area.

This is a lovely old with plenty of history with lots of original features. Secure and and easy parking. Spotlessly clean, roomy, spacious, with a large beautiful garden - a home away from home. Desire was very friendly and couldn’t do any more to help. Thank you!

Very nice and cozy cottage surrounded by a beautiful garden. Nice and large bedroom. The cottage is very well equipped and confortable. Might be a good place to rest and relax if on a long voyage.

Super welcoming host, lovely grounds, old but well maintained house all to ourselves, secure, explored the town in the dark which was exciting, washed and dried all our dirty clothes, watched Netflix, slept deeply in fresh bed linen, left early next morning wishing we had at least another day there. Ticked all the boxes.

We made a stopover in Barberton on our road trip and spontaneously booked this accommodation. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the house. The hosts gave us a warm welcome and took a lot of time to explain everything. We were also given lots of valuable tips for our onward journey through the country and a good recommendation for where to eat. In addition they were eager to answer questions about our rout planning even if it‘s not their responsibility. We would definitely come back again!

The cleanliness and peace of having a nice home away from home. Actually the place is more beautiful than it looks in the pictures.

The house and garden are charming. Beds and pillows are very comfortable, linen and towels are of lovely quality. Ample space, great fully equipped kitchen. The owners were friendly and welcoming, answering all our questions.

“Great place and location. - communication on checkout was terrible”

Upon our checkout, after attending a funeral, the lady had completely changed her demeanor compared to when checking in. I booked the entire villa for six people as shown on Booking.com and she made us pay extra upon our exit after an emotionally draining day.
