“The Perfect Nature Escape”

Our stay at this beautiful house in Curacao was absolutely unforgettable. Surrounded by peaceful scenery, wildlife and fresh air, it felt like the perfect escape from busy everyday life. Waking up to the sounds of nature and relaxing in a calm and private setting made the experience incredibly special. The house was clean, comfortable and thoughtfully designed, with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Being one with nature. I love waking up to the sounds of the birds singing and iguanas climbing from tree to tree. It's such a peaceful place. I was excited to see them in the morning and, throughout the day, sneaking behind you to steal crumbs on the floor or drink the drips from the faucet. The smell of fresh air, the wind touching my skin, and the movement of the trees' leaves are very comforting. Looking at the greenery is like watching a huge TV screen of life unfold around you. I don't want to forget to mention the tortoises that love to eat fresh fruits and veggies. We love visiting them every day in their little houses. We definitely enjoyed our three-bedroom, two-bathroom, with a kitchen and a washing machine. The house is ideal for all our needs. It's very roomy, with plenty of space to put anything and everything you bring. It is also a few feet away from the big swimming pool, so that we can take a dip anytime. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything one might need for cooking. There's a blender to make smoothies anytime. A portable cooler is available for bringing cold beers and juices to the beach.

We felt very comfortable. The hosts were wonderful. The grounds are fantastic, with two pools. We spotted green parrots and hummingbirds in the garden, not to mention the lizards and turtles. Don Genaro is near the best beaches.

A true oasis of calm. The accommodation is very comfortable, with a spacious bedroom and bathroom and a fully equipped outdoor kitchen. The property is beautifully green and includes a small petting zoo and two lovely swimming pools. The hosts are incredibly kind and helpful.

The perfect location ! tranquil and set in stunning gardens ! the hosts welcoming and friendly and have loads of information to share about the island ! my apartment casa colores, was spotless and spacious with its indoor outdoor feel and amazing pool which was perfect after a day exploring the island, the beaches within reach from this amazing property are simply divine, a car is a must and I would check with the owners first who rent cars also before you go to the car hire companies on the island ! Curacao is super easy to drive around, and it does give you the freedom to explore - Christopher Elke and Susanne thank you for the most magical stay , I will def return and highly recommend it to all !!

“Beautiful setting, management could improve”

We stayed at this property during our trip to Curaçao. The apartment itself was very clean, well-maintained, and located in a quiet and peaceful area. The surroundings are beautiful, and the overall atmosphere is calm and relaxing. We also appreciated the welcome drinks in the fridge upon arrival. The property is managed by an elderly couple. The gentleman was very kind and welcoming. However, some aspects of the stay felt somewhat uncomfortable. There is no safe inside the apartment; instead, guests are asked to leave their passports in a safe at reception, which is only open between 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. Although this was presented as a security measure, it felt unusual to have our passports kept for the entire stay.

We really loved the garden of this accomodation, with all its beautiful trees and animals. Outside living here is a wonderful experience. Our kids were very happy with the pool. Don Genaro is a quiet, peaceful place to experience the other side of Curacao.

“Excellent appartment close to the beautiful beaches.”

This was our first trip to Curacao. We were lucky to choose this excellent location, in the countryside, not far from the beautiful beaches in the northern side of Curacao. The apartment has a nice outdoor kitchen equiped with a fridge, cooffee maker, toaster and even a barbecue area( didn't use it this time, we plan to come back) The bed is comfortable, the bathroom is big and has a nice shower. As improvement for our appartment i would suggest blinders to the bedroom windows. Beautiful vegetation, a lot of birds and even a couple of turtles. We planned the trip in a very short time so we did not have the time to verify for renting a car with Don Genaro, we used our usual provider for the online service and also to accumulate the points. We understood Don Genaro has competitive rates for rent a car, next time we will check with them in advance. There are 2 pools on the premises, we did not use them but the area is beautiful. Christopher showed us a place where the divers can clean and hang the diving material. The hosts are very attentive, they provided us with a lot of information regarding the beaches, booking activities and they help you with what you need. Excellent service!

Staff were very helpful, the rooms and the grounds were lovely. A very relaxing experience and a great location for exploring the island.
