“Immersive local experience with lovely hosts in beautiful guesthouse.”
This was more than just a guesthouse - it was an immersive hosting experience! Ani and her assistants were extremely friendly and hospitable. The room was excellent value for money, especially with the delicious breakfast each morning. Ani went well out of her way to make sure my needs were taken care of, and arranged my hiking trip to Ijen. My last night was the first day of Ramadan and Ani invited me to have Iftar (afternoon fast breaking meal) with her family. I learned a lot about Islam in Indonesia, and how people in East Java live, think and feel. This was honestly one of the most wholesome travel experiences in my 10 years of wandering this green Earth. I hope to return one day! Thank you :)

Very kind owner, big common area, free coffee, tee, water. Comfortable bed. They prepared our breakfast already before 6am, because we had to leave early. They are very flexible.

“Disappointing Stay”
Dimly lit rooms, uncomfortable beds, damp ceiling. I wouldn't say the booking.com score is reflective of the quality of this accommodation. Would not recommend

“A true Indonesian experience”
Amazing and absolutely helpful staff, it was clean, AC working. The best BANANA PANCAKES in the world<33 they organized a trip and a transfer to Bali, totally recommend it!

“Lovely family stay !!”
I give it 12 out of 10 Points ! 😉 extremely friendly staff and owner. After a few days you feel like a part of the family. They offer a wide range of rooms. All rooms offered are very clean. Free coffee and tea. You can choose between several breakfast options. Scooter hire and tours to Ijen can also be arranged at reasonable prices. Quite area and rooms !!

Quiet and clean. Landlord are there all day long if you need anything. Breakfast was good I like to eat a lot and they made bigger portions for me

“Just perfect !”
Just perfect service and incredible kindness. I arrived in the middle of the night because my bus was late but the host waited for me and even prepared breakfast for me. Great place also to do Ijen, they organize it for you !

Lovely friendly hosts, Annie took great care of us during our stay making breakfast for us and arranging our travel to Bali. The room was clean and comfortable with good AC. Water station available for refills as well as tea and coffee. Lovely relaxing stay - thank you!

“Warm, home-like guesthouse with helpful hosts”
This family-owned guesthouse had a very home-like and welcoming vibe. The room was clean and comfortable, and the hosts went out of their way to make my stay easy and pleasant. They helped arrange my trip to Ijen, with a midnight pickup right from the hotel. I also requested hot drinking water, and they kindly provided a kettle. On top of that, they even made me rice porridge upon request. A lovely place to stay if you’re planning a trip to Ijen or just want a warm, personal experience.

Amazing guest house with very lovely and warm people. The breakfast they provided was very tasty and they even changed it up for us, so that we could taste different dishes that are typical for the region. I had a really relaxing stay here :)

“One of the best places we’ve stayed in South East Asia loved it!!!!”
The family who run Mocca are amazing they booked our trip to Mount Ijen, picked us up from the train station and organised our transport to Denpasar airport in Bali. The rooms are very big with a comfy big bed and a really nice modern bathroom. The breakfast is also great and they even made us a packed breakfast to take with us when we had to leave at 4am for the airport. Cannot recommend this place enough!!! 😊

“Great choice”
This is a great place to stay. Clean rooms, AC, good breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff. They offer free water and tea throughout the day. You can arrange a trip to Igen at a good price here.
