Great homestay, clean, calm and comfortable. Nice host, helpful also to organize activities and transport

Everything went very smoothly, the host was super friendly and we could join a shared trip to Ijen volcano and after the tour we could still get the delicious breakfast!

“One of our favourite stays (and cities) yet!”

Really lovely hosts, they really are like your mom and dad during your stay😁 The breakfast was also great. Other food like lunch/dinner and snacks you have to pay, but they are really affordable. You have to share the toilet and shower, but there are enough off them so you don't have to wait and they are always clean. Banyuwangi is the perfect place to rent a scooter, because the roads are nice and the traffic is a little less crazy than in other parts of indonesia.

The guesthouse owner is very dedicated to its business. Even though I only stayed one night, I could feel their extremely high standards for cleanliness. What was also a pleasant surprise was the abundance and variety of breakfasts. The sandwiches and toasts were freshly toasted and crispy, a standard that is difficult to achieve even in most Indonesian restaurants.

Very welcoming homestay with comfortable rooms, a handy kitchen and delicious breakfast! They have a book of things to do in Banyuwangi which is very helpful and they helped me out with some info about transport to Uluwatu. I would’ve stayed longer if I had the time.

I had a really lovely stay at Banana Homestay in Banyuwangi. It’s a very comfortable place that isn’t too big, which made it feel calm and personal. I especially liked how it felt like being part of the family’s home rather than just a place to stay. The food was delicious, and I honestly wish I could have tried more of the different dishes they offered. They also helped me arrange a tour and get to my next destination, which I was really grateful for. A warm, welcoming experience that I’d definitely recommend.

great stay! the breakfast was absolutely delicious and the owners very kind. We really liked the ijen tour they offered which was a good price. There is a sushi restaurant with vegetarian food nearby and they also offered dinner!

The family that owned the homestay were so incredibly friendly and welcoming and the food they cooked was so delicious! Such a cute homestay, very clean and comfortable.

“Peaceful , great value homestay with lovely host and great food”

Very good value, quiet and characterful homestay. Simple but beautifully designed and has everything you need. Lovely communal areas with seating and views. And Fryda is the loveliest most helpful host you could wish for. She helped us arrange the ferry to Bali and a very well priced car on to Permuteran in Bali. Her food is delicious and all home made -we had breakfast and dinner and both were wonderful. We walked from the homestay to explore Banuwangi and had a lovely evening seeing all the families enjoying street food by Boom beach in the evening after Ramadan, with views of volcano and sunset. We were the only tourists and everyone was very friendly.

Fryda and her family were amazing hosts. They were kind enough to come and pick us up from the ferry and take us to get dinner as we had not eaten all day. The space is very cute and the breakfast is amazing!
