“Lovely cottage in great location”

We received a lovely, warm welcome from Majella, and her two friendly dogs! Her charming cottage is spacious, comfortable and very well equipped. We greatly appreciated the generous 'extras' and the excellent pub/restaurant in walking distance was a bonus. We could ask for nothing more and would give this stay 12 if we could!

This is an excellent place to stay in the heart of the Gaeltacht, hosted by a lovely family, for whom nothing is too much trouble. It is clean and tidy and has everything you need for your stay. We have stayed here on 3 separate occasions now and are already looking forward to our 4th visit in 2027.

Everything was perfect! Mom and I spend a wonderful, relaxing New Year’s Eve in Hillview Cottage. Majella, Pat and the 2 dogs Millie and Belle were fantastic hosts 🤍

Majella was a lovely host, so kind and friendly, she even left fresh baked bread which i mangled 😅, she even left milk, eggs and bits for brekie. The apt was very spacious and warm. Thanks Majella 👏👏

The cottage is wonderful, but it's the people who make it a really special place to stay. The hosts go beyond the call of duty to make your stay comfortable. This was the start of our camino along the St Finbarr Way and after travelling by bus, the host helped us get from and back to our starting point. The breakfast selection provided was very well thought out and greatly appreciated. The cottage itself is a delight, with a peaceful feel calling you to just sit and enjoy the peace. The food in the restaurant/bar nearby is also very worth a visit.

“Beautifully peaceful stay in a cosy West Cork cottage”

Majella and Pat were so welcoming, and the house was absolutely perfect, so comfortable and warm and such lovely added details, like some homemade brown bread and porridge oats, milk, butter and jam in the fridge. We loved meeting the lovely dogs Millie and Bella! I would highly recommend this cottage to stay in for a peaceful break from the city, with really kind and welcoming hosts.

Warm, comfortable, clean, spacious, beautiful views and warm generous friendly hosts. Exceptional stay with beautiful homemade soda bread and breakfast condiments provided.

We have stayed in many places before, but this cottage was the best so far. The hosts were very welcoming and the accommodation was absolutely spotless. Clean, very well equipped, everything provided for an extended holiday. If you want a quiet place, this is the perfect choice. We will definitely go back to West Cork as there is so much to see and we would definitely want to stay here again.
