Perfect for the price - very helpful staff, optional adventure tours, everything excellent! A few minutes walk from Terminal, but close to the center.

This is an old fashioned place where the owners are in the hostel to help and support you. They book all activities with friendly prices and the place is in an excellent location. Cleaning is very thorough and prices are nice.

“Great stay”

Excellent stay, the owner is very friendly and helpful, great breakfast available and spacious room with a good view of the waterfall nearby, very close to main restaurant and market and a short walk to bus station, fully recommend! And fresh towels almost everyday

Super nice place to stay, with a beautiful little garden to enjoy. And what a view!!! Please don t forget that the hotel is next to the center... so you'll hear music until late in the night. But I recommend it!!! And will come back with earplugs 😅

“A well situated, well priced place”

Really well located, a 5 minute walk from the bus terminal and also into the centre of town, to restaurants, bars and travel agencies. Our room was clean and quiet at night, and the towels were changed daily! There were also some very cute and friendly dogs and cats. Breakfast was nice and cheap, we had the option of eggs, pancakes or fruit, though it wasn’t especially big.

Location was perfect, staff were friendly and helpful.

“Nice stay.”

Nice hosts, talking english as well. We borrowed 2 bicycles from them also for 5usd each. Pretty good breakfast as well.

Perfect value for money. Comfortable bed, nice views from the room, good shower and a simple kitchen. Good breakfast as well!

The owner helped us organize tours around town, bicycle rental, and with general tips.

The lady was nice and friendly. They were able to check us in at 4 am and had room availability for us to stay much longer than we intended. Great value considering the location of the Hostal, super convenient, close to eateries, shops and bars. They also cleaned the room, changed the towels and gave extra tissue papers even without us requesting any. Decent WiFi, kitchen facilities for us to make coffee, and a comfortable smoking area- which many places don’t usually have. Last but not least, they have sweet pugs and cute cats on the property, perfect for travellers who are missing their fur babies.

The staff were very friendly, and very helpful. There were unfortunately some troubles in Ecuador while I was here, and they were very helpful in making sure I would be able to get to the airport safely. Additionally, the activities that can be booked from the hostel were a lot of fun, and the location of the hostel is ideal. The breakfasts sold at the hostel are very tasty and good value.

The hotel is well located.  The room was quite good. We rented bicycles and had a nice trip to the waterfalls. The hot springs are situated a 10 minutes walk. The staff was kind. Also, it was the first hotel during our trip to South America which had  a perfect hot shower with good pressure. 

“Do not stay in this uncharismatic mouldy place”

They brought new towels every day (probably because they know the old ones don't dry in there with the humidity and mould).
