“A pleasant enough stay, but not great value for money at the price”

We loved our stay and only wish we could have stayed longer. We stayed with a baby and found it perfect and stress free. We had enough room to fit a travel cot beside the bed in the bedroom. There was a spare bed in the living area if needed! The accommodation was spotless, cosy, and had a lovely cabin feel. It was quiet and peaceful, while still being within short walking distance of town. Everything we needed was provided, coffee amenities, robes, towels, bedding, kitchenware. We loved the outdoor seating area for a coffee in the morning. We will definitely stay here again when visiting.

We had a lovely room, recently updated with a very comfortable bed. The Elkhorn Lodge provides extra towels and robes to use the hot tub that's available. Check-in was easy with the instructions we were sent beforehand and check out was just as easy. It's a little walk to Banff town centre but we actually liked walking a little bit so you can just leave your car at the lodge and have a nice stroll in to town.

Location Quirkiness

“Private, spotless & close to everything.”

Close to town but a quieter area away from the big lodges etc. Private and we had everything we needed for 3 nights. We were able to come and go independently and look after ourselves.

The location was great and quiet. The owner was very helpful and able to provide some extra things we asked for as well as local information for us. The room was spotlessly clean. We had a downstairs room with an outside sitting area which was lovely.

The Elkhorn lodge is a lovely little cabin an easy 10 minute walk from Banff downtown/high street. A nice little rustic stay on a quiet road with great Mountain views and free parking. The self check-in process is easy and instructions are clear and easy to follow. The beds are clean and comfy and the property is well stocked with all the self-catering equipment you need plus tasty coffee! Would highly recommend for a nice little budget layover in Banff.

There was no breakfast. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. The location was fine.

“Great spot for visit to Banff”

Great location just out of main centre, close to public transit. The room was perfect for a short stay but a bit small for my week-long visit. There are larger cabins but a bit expensive for solo traveller. Although the Lodge is undergoing significant renovations, it didn't really impact me as it was quiet at night.
