“Great Place in Badipur, nice for history lovers.”

The hotel is historic and keeps the vibes of a traditional nepalese building, this means it's gorgeous and has a lot of quirks and everything seems original or restored from original. I did not have a chance to try the food, but saw other guests eating the breakfast and it seemed up to standard. The location is ideal for a stay in Bandipur, as it cannot get more central. It is located on a purely walkable street, so there is no traffic noise.

Can't rate highly enough, perfect place to stay if in Bandpiur as just like stepping back in time. Love all of the dark wood interiors, small doors to rooms, old lamps used for lighting and views over the valley. My room was spacious and clean and felt very cosy in the evening. Right on the bazaar so ideal for exploring the town and the staff were so helpful.

I think it’s the most beautiful hotel in Bandipur. The team is extremely professional, the location is excellent, the breakfast is delicious, and the atmosphere of the rooms is absolutely lovely.

“Unique place to stay”

Unique place to stay. Great service, good food. Assisted with onward transport to Kathmandu. Fire is lit outside or inside at night for dinner depending on the weather.

“Unique heritage experience!”

Staying at The Old Inn was like going back in time, a really amazing experience! Our bed was comfortable and they provided a heated blancket which warmed us up before sleeping. A nice extra touch! We had a gorgeous view on rice terraces and the big mountains from our balcony. The hotel is on the main street so all the places to see and visit in Bandipur are in easy walking distance. We walked up to the sunset point and the views were incredible! Breakfast was plenty and delicious :) If you want a unique experience in Bandipur, book this hotel.

A beautifully restored heritage property in the best location in Bandipur. Lovely terrace at the front with a bar and amazing rooftop with fabulous views. Staff will bring up drinks for you whilst you enjoy the sunset.

A beautifully preserved property boasting lots of charm. The food was excellent (one of the best Dhal Bhat we’ve had in Nepal) and the staff were super friendly and accommodating.

I loved the old Architecture of the Inn it is quite enchanting. It felt like you were living in another era. The terrace garden lovely for sitting, enjoying the day and having breakfast snd dinner. The staff were very thoughtful and friendly. It felt like home away from home. We enjoyed many breakfasts and meals and especially enjoyed the buckwheat roti and porridge with nuts.

Beautiful historic hotel, with a lot of charm...very authentic Nepalese decor . Great mountain views. Comfortable and clean rooms. Nice fresh breakfast. The best hotel in Bandipur.

“Beautiful old style building with great view”

Hotel Old Inn is a very nice place, where the style of old Newari houses has been very well preserved. There are of course some drawbacks to this deliberate choice, but which were not a problem to us: rooms are not very large, they are a bit dark, and equipment is limited (no TV set for example). But again, we like and support this choice. The staff is nice and efficient. Having breakfast on the terrace facing the mountains is wonderful, and we also had a very nice (but small) balcony with Himalaya view adjacent to our room. Be aware that the hotel is on Bandipur bazaar, which is a pedestrian-only area. We had heavy luggage, but our driver called the hotel and hotel staff came to help us carry our luggage to hotel while we were walking. And they also helped us in the same way when we departed Bandipur.

“Old world charm with great hospitality”

Fantastic period property with quirky communal spaces, corridors, low beams and old furniture. Rooms were very comfortable whilst not detracting from the style. Don’t expect modern, it’s like a step back in time. Hotel staff were amazing - especially all the guys at breakfast and dinner, who were highly attentive and friendly. Always happy to help and look after us. I took a day hike using the hotel guide, which was lovely. Recommended stay! Oh and of course the amazing terrace views! How could they not be mentioned - stunning on a clear day.

I absolutely loved the property, beautiful room, clean and light with terrace door open, albeit a little more lighting at night could help! Breakfast was monstrous, Fruit, yoghurt and then main to your choice, I can eat but I struggled, fabulous! The location right in the centre of town…. Perfect

“Stunning building, fantastic location”

Such a beautiful and sympathetically restored building, definitely the most characterful place we stayed in Nepal! It’s right in the heart of Bandipur, which is a small but charming town, and sitting facing the street is the perfect spot for people-watching. We loved all the decorative touches in the property as well, like statues and paintings and plants.

It’s a very charming hotel with very friendly staff. The location is great as it is right in the middle of the main pedestrian street. Also the food is nice.
