“Friendly and beautiful homestay in quiet but central location”

We loved our stay in Bandipur! It has the best elements of a homestay, getting to know a local family and taking part in fun things like the momo making class (which was brilliant!) but also you have your own space / room on a different floor. The private bathroom is really handy and warm water is offered. Waking up to chickens and goats outside was very cute, and the view from the roof at breakfast was incredible!

Breakfast was lovely and cooked to order. Views were sensational and location was the right distance from the Main Street for us.

- Very clear communication - They even came to pick us up when we arrived in town - The house is centrally located in the village - There’s a terrace with a stunning view of the mountains - They are extremely kind - Breakfast is delicious - We also did the momo cooking class and loved it!

Milan, Sumon and Sima are slowly setting up a lovely family stay experience in the pictoresque Bandipur. They were very kind and put a lot of effort into the preparation of meals and spaces. They also arranged transportation to get to their home in the middle of the night. Extremely recommend this local stay!

“Stunning views and lovely family”

Comfortable room and nice breakfast made from local produce. Seema and Suman were so lovely to chat to and taught me some Nepali. (Their sibling Milan works to empower the local community.) The views from the room are amazing and it's a peaceful location as vehicles aren't allowed on the main street. It would've been nice to stay longer to relax more!

“Brilliant experience”

This was my second visit to the homestay and this time I got them to arrange transport from Dumre to Bandipur, which made travel much easier. The host Suman also organised a very enjoyable trip for me to visit Samastipur which is the 2nd highest suspension bridge in Nepal. Bandipur is worth at least a 3 night visit as it has much more to see and do around the area than I realised! Since my last visit the family has done a lot to ensure their homestay experience gives back to the wider community in Bandipur through the other activities and tours they offer. Impressive breakfast using local produce.

Very nice guesthouse run by a lovely family. We enjoyed our stay in the beautiful town. The rooms were clean, and the free breakfast was delicious! The staff very helpfully picked us up from the bus station. The view from the rooftop is stunning.

“Authentic Home Stay - Highly Recommend”

This location is an actual authentic home stay and is the perfect budget option for your visit to Bandipur. The rooms are basic with traditional Nepalese style bedding which is extremely firm, however was some of best nights sleep we have had - just don’t expect to be able to lounge on it! The room was spacious and has lots of natural light. They have a nice view of the valley below and good airflow. Breakfast was phenomenal, home cooked every single morning with pancakes, eggs and fruit. There is also the offer of extra paid activities with the family such as cheese tasting and a Momo cooking class - we participated in the later and it was so much fun! If you like getting out of your comfort zone and embracing authentic home stays, then I highly suggest staying here.

“Spectacular views, great Homestay, very welcoming hosts”

The view from the room was spectacular, just like in the pictures. Very spacious, clean room. The family were great hosts and very helpful. Bathroom was on a separate floor, but that was fine, as there was also a separate toilet on the same floor as the room. I loved waking up to the sound of the goats! They offer a Tea Tasting experience which was well worth the money. Finest quality teas from Ilam and I learnt a lot about their preparation and history. Would definitely recommend staying here. “Highly recommended to experience real Nepal , with real people!”

This family run homestay is newly opened, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I need not have had any concerns, as the family were excellent hosts and I learnt a lot about local culture. Fantastic views from the balcony and rooftop terrace. Great location, very near centre, but in a quiet side road. Breakfast was simple but adequate. Clean comfortable room. I also did their Cheese Tasting experience which was very interesting. I wish I could have stayed longer than one night!
