Stayed here a number of times and tbh, it just seems to be getting better. Breakfast is fantastic.

Lovely peaceful location, short walk into Banchory and fairly close to Balmoral and Glamis Castle. Nice lounge to relax in, large bedroom. The lady looking after the breakfasts was really friendly and helpful.

I arrived at the hotel in the evening just made it in time for the restaurant The meal was very good and much appreciated after a long drive. Check in followed, simple and efficient allowing me to settle in quickly I was impressed with the decor throughout the hotel which felt fresh tasteful and well cared for..The bedroom and the facilities were first class provinding a very comfortable and relaxing stay Breakfast the following morning was very good setting me up well for the day ahead Location was easy to access and overall I found this to be a welcoming and comfortable place to stay. I Would happily recommend this place to others and would certainly return in the future

Room wasn't clean. There was a suspicious stain on carpet next to the bed.

I have stayed here several times before and I was delighted to be staying in one of the refurbished rooms. Beautiful large shower in bathroom with mains fed plumbing and not electric shower over bath as some of the rooms on the upper floor have. Breakfast is always good but the cooked options are very rich and heavy going. Perhaps a more extensive buffet choice for those of us who don’t want a full Scottish or a stack of pancakes but want another option from toast or yogurt and fruit.
