During my voyages in Asia, I was always amazed by the beauty of rice terraces. After my trip to Jatiluwih on Bali, I thought my eyes have already seen the most beautiful rice terraces in the world. After my stay in Banaue, I can fully admit this was very naive of me, because the work of Ifugao people for sure deserves to be called the eight wonder of the world, more than any other place. My positive perception was certainly boosted by the hospitality and helpfulness of the Las Vegas staff, which was very accommodating during my short 3 day stay. Even though I was their single guest (for some reason wet season seems to freak out tourists), there was always someone to ask for an advice or some help. I really appreciate the owner for his caring - he provided me with some ice to relieve my swollen ankle. He also gave me detailed information about trekking routes, local transport and somehow was able to arrange quite demanding trek with my guide - Edwin, who was definitely the right companion on the one-day route from Banaue to Batad. When it comes to the lodge in particular, you can clearly see it is well maintained and gives the true vibe of family-run homestay. Highly recommended for solo travelers. Salamat Po for an amazing stay in Banaue and I hope to visit you and your family again!

“Money grabbers, avoid”

Beautiful view from the restaurant. Overall clean. Someone came to pick me up from the bus station. Someone woke up very early to open the metallic curtain and stayed until I was on my 5am bus. Replies were mostly quick.

The location is a little way from the centre but does have a nice view over the valley. The bar and restaurant is great. Staff very helpful and waved down the right jeepney for me to move on from there. The building is a lovely wooden traditional design. They have a book swap which is useful

“A great stay here again”

This was my 2nd stay here, after my 2 days in Batad. This guesthouse is so so nice. Cloy and Celine are so kind and helpful and they organise absolutely everything for you. The 3 young people on work experience there are also very nice. Do eat here, the menu is excellent and try the amazing beef curry. Breakfast was nice and the brewed coffee is great. I do recommend at least 2 nights here as there are lots of hikes here so don't skip Banaue!!!... Yes Batad is famous but Banaue is great too. I'd like to wish both Cloy and Celine the very best with the arrival of their first baby in a few months. Thanks for the great memories here.

“Amazing stay”

I stayed 3 nights in this wonderful guesthouse. The views are amazing. The bar area and the food is great quality and good prices. Staff are very friendly especially the owner Celine. I like Griza the staff girl, she always smiles and very friendly. Leo the owner too has spent many many years making this guesthouse very nice with the amazing wooden antiques he has bought. Great value for money to stay here. Lots of hikes here in Banaue. I really liked the hike to Poitan village and through Bocos village with amazing scenery even in the rain and clouds. A truly magical experience to be had here.

The owners and tour guides went out of their way to make me feel welcome and were amazing hosts. On my arrival they explained in detail all the tours on offer and gave me their best recommendations. I felt really safe here as a solo female traveller and nothing was too much for them. I ate breakfast and dinners here and enjoyed the company of the hosts and guides over a drink or two also. The room was basic but perfect for two nights, it has views across the beautiful countryside.

Nothing i like. Room is just a room with 3 very small beds and no window. And very dirty. Bathroom is too bad, need to wash your hands outside, around 10 m away, and no toilet papers.

I loved the hotel! It's made of wood and has a fantastic atmosphere. The restaurant has a beautiful view and it’s opening early so you can catch something to eat before going on trekking. Celine was super helpful, advised me what to see and answered all my questions. It's a wonderful place to relax in the midst of stunning nature. Just a heads up, it's not a place for those seeking a fancy experience, but perfect for people wanting to log off and escape from the city.

“Extra friendly family-owned Lodge, but with big insects in the rooms and no electric plugs”

This is one of the most difficult reviews to write because we loved the hosts and it pains me that we can't give them an excellent review. During our stay, we were even invited to join in on a neighbor's Birthday party which he was celebrating in the Las Vegas Lodge, and we got to meet all the family of Las Vegas Lodge and their friends. Everyone was very friendly and super nice. The trips to rice fields were also very nice and without any issues. So hospitality I would rate as 8/10, day trips also 8/10, however, the rooms and accommodation, in general, was around 2/10.
