“Lovely homestay with stunning views of Batad rice terraces”

Very basic but homey stay right in Batad rice terraces - views from the room and balcony are absolutely stunning! Lhoren cooks tasty food; brekky, lunch and dinner (best pineapple pancakes we ever had) and her husband Romeo took us on an amazing 5h hike across the rice terraces, to a waterfall and a viewpoint. They also organised pick up from Banaue and a scooter for the last day of our stay :) From the drop off up at the road it’s a steep 20-30min walk down (and back up) so only bring light luggage! We’d come back for sure!

Had a great stay at lhorens inn. She made me feel welcome and prepared with care all my meals which are delicious. Massages and guide tours available as well as laundry service.

Incredible stay in Batad with an amazing view over the ice terraces. The owners are lovely and make you feel at home. The food is delicious. Very peaceful place 🤗. It's rustic but it's very enjoyable, the rooms are nice and the view is very pretty. You have the possibility to do many hikes around the area. Would come in a heartbeat again 🤗

“The place to stay in Batad!”

Warm welcoming from Lhoren and Romeo ! Good advice from them and always available to answer my many questions and even to make a tour with us to the hot springs and to bring us back to Banaue. We’ve booked for 4 nights and decided to book one more night because we felt so good with them. Their family is beautiful and welcomig too ! We had the change to pound the rice with Lhoren (and one of her children). We had the chance to learn a lot about their life and the rice. The food is excellent too ! Everything is homemade and organic ! And the Rice wine they make is DELICIOUS !

If you have any chance of staying in Batad, come to Lhorens Inn for the full experience of this heartwarming and welcoming family. They helped us customize our itinerary and we could join for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day (try the Adobo! Also good in vegetarian). Wish we could've stayed longer. Thank you for having us!

If your looking for a welcoming and safe starting place for your adventure holiday in Batad and surroundings, thats the place to go. They were very helpful and hospitable. They help you find the best travel from Banaue to Batad (Jeepney only runs in the afternoon, otherwise you take a tricycle). They find you the right guide for your hikes. They are clean, have good food and habe a nice view on the rice teraces. From here you can take hikes to Takiyah Falls, Cambulo Rice terace and Bangaan rice terace.

The accommodation has all the essentials that you need, and the host is extremely kind and helpful (and the food there is great). They let us try on some of the local clothes during our stay, and arranged a tour of the rice fields too. Beautiful location, with a rooftop terrace. The terrace has a beautiful lookout over the local scenery (& all the areas you'll be hiking). Would recommend.

“Great mountain village Inn with friendly hosts”

Very nice and friendly hostess and family, awesome view from a few of the rooms and balcony on which you can chill a bit. The food is good and they can help to arrange some hikes with a guide or a tour, transport and laundry. The village is very peaceful and the rice fields are beautiful, especially in april / may. You will have a great stay here if you just prepare for basic facilities, and enjoy the exclusivity of being able to visit this place on foot. Vicente is also a great guide with decades of experience and a good tour price!

“AMAZING RICE TERRACE STAY! 🤩”

The location of this stay amidst the rice terraces is simply incredible. The view from their rooftop deck is an amazing spot at sunrise. Make sure to ask about a hike/tour with Mayor, he is the BEST guide. Be prepared to hike into the accommodations in and out. They will help arrange porters for your luggage if you would like though which is super helpful.

We had a great experience at Lhorens. The family was lovely and helped with planning our trekking tours. We did some trekking tours on our own and in that case Lhoren made sure that we got lunch with us. We really enjoyed the local and authentic experience of living in Batad and the view from the homestay is spectacular.

“Authentic and genuine stay in an amazing place, live the local life”

Location is amazing, Batad is super worth it. Authentic experience with local, the owner was very helpful and funny, made us feel like home. Basic accomodation but working well (hot water)

A very basic place as you would expect in a place like Batad but has all the amenities needed, including food, comfy bed and even a rooftop which is a nice place to read after a morning hike around the rice terraces. The family that runs the guesthouse is super friendly and very responsive to messages. There is no wifi, but you can buy a wifi package very cheaply if you really need it during your visit.

Llhoren and her family are very nice and helpful with everything. The house has a very good location.

“Full immersion in the Filipino culture”

Choose this hostel and you'll be immerse in an authentic Filipino family experience! The mom of the family is always ready to help, she cooks delicious food and she will help you with information about the area. The rooms have a wonderful view directly on the rice fields and the rooftop will make you emotional for the beautiful view it has. Free breakfast include a pancake and a coffte and for dinner you'll be able to select from a vast variety (also vegetarian) of food. The rice you will eat is the native one coming directly from the rice terraces in front of you! You will love this place if you are looking for an authentic experience, attention tho, you will probably fall in love with little kiro, the devil of the house!

Lovely family running this guesthouse - very welcoming. Fabulous views across the terraces. I ate dinner there and the food was delicious. The rooms are simple but clean.

“Super friendly in a great location”

Its right at the rice fields, so if you sleep here you won't have to travel much further :) The view from the rooms and the balcony is beautiful and its about 30 minutes to a viewpoint and 1 hour to Tappiyah Falls. The host and her family are very friendly and will help you with everything. They organized a pick up for us and their son guided us through the fields, he was very friendly. “Amazing stay and experience at this local homestay”

Everything was fine, we want to thank the owner of the house and her family, everyone is so nice and wants you to have a nice stay. The room is clean and comfortable, the meals are prepared on demand and were good. We could let our bags while we were hiking the last day and pick them up later. We liked the fact that you somehow live with the family, it is really appreciable (+ nice view from the room and from the rooftop). The village is apart from the circulation and without any motors, really appreciate.
