breathtaking views especially while having a meal at the restaurant. food is nice, especially the sinigang. great value for an affordable stay. and location is just enough to get you to walk around batad.

The location is great, amazing view over the rice terraces. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner were tasty, with local dishes outshining western cooking.

An incredibly friendly family runs the hillside inn. They make you feel at home. Jocky organised transport to and from the stay and the food was tremendous. The best part of the stay was waking up to the view of the rice terraces. The room is rustic but that is part of the experience. Ask for Grail if you wish to do the rice field tour she has expert knowledge of the area as a local...10/10 stay.

A unique experience, beautiful views, and the food was delicious. Hillside offers great base for a lovely remote adventure.. Its a cofortable home away from home, not a luxery resort this allows you to settle right into the culture.

Firstly, we have to be aware that this is rural Philippines - and it is different to Manila or more developed urban areas. But they are trying to give their best - and they offer an exceptional experience in nature! They are welcoming and easy going.

Excellent location, great staff, clean and comfortable accommodation. Very pleasant atmosphere and a smooth, hassle-free stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking for quality accommodation in a great location.

This is a remote location, so don't expect luxury amenities - it's actually quite amazing what the owners manage to do out here in a village that's not even accessible by road. The views are breathtaking, the place is nice and well-maintained, and it has everything you could possibly need. Comfortable seating with a view, a lovely terrace, nice food from the on-site kitchen, and of course this is your homebase for exploring the surroundings. Be prepared for steep hikes and stairs. Gorgeous views and good food, comfy vibes. The drop-off point (from jeepney or trike) is where people would usually wait to offer help with luggage or such, as it's still a 15-20 minute walk down to the actual village. Same goes on the way back. And by the way there is paid WiFi and it's pretty good - and with 3 hours for 10 Pesos it's also cheap.

The view is outstanding

It's an amazing place. The view from the balcony was absolutely enchanting. Rice terraces, the village, and the mountains are within arm's reach. It's truly beautiful.

“Better as a day trip destination”

The water heater looked dodgy with electrical connections sticking out everywhere. It also drips. The toilet seat has no cover. There is no mobile signal and wi-fi has to be paid for. Dinner took 1.5 hours to prepare. Check in cut off is 1600 and check out is 1000.
