“A wonderful homestay for a cosy and chill trip.”

The property is well located at the center, so easy to visit and move around the island. It’s also 4min walk from a beach with a nice sunset view. The accommodations are comfortable and very clean. The staff is super welcoming and helpful when needed. The breakfast has many delicious options, so don’t hesitate to include it in your booking. Overall, I can only recommend to stay at Baan Klong Jao Homestay.

The location is great, close to shops and places to eat, also to the beach. The staff was very friendly, they immediately offered us a motorbike at a good price, cleaning was every second day and they really did everything to make us comfortable. Breakfast was great!

The beautiful location right in the mangrove. They provided canoes for free and we saw the most magical fishes jump at sunset.

“Holiday ruined by hotel mistake”

We had booked a family bungalow for nine nights several months in advance, specifically to ensure separate beds due to my medical condition (severe restless leg syndrome). Upon arrival, the hotel admitted their mistake and placed us in a much smaller bungalow with a double bed. They had overbooked the family bungalow (“computer problem, very sorry but nothing we can do”). They told us we could stay only two nights in the room we had paid for, and then move to the smaller bungalow, or “to another hotel.” As the island was almost fully booked due to peak season (Chinese New Year), we were forced to leave the island after only two nights and stay in a more expensive resort on Koh Chang, one of the very few places still available in the region. The hotel charged us in full for the two nights and refunded the remaining seven nights (minus booking fees). They offered no compensation whatsoever for the major disruption, additional costs incurred, or loss of enjoyment of our holiday. They made the mistake, yet we were the ones who suffered the consequences and lost money. This complete lack of accountability and disregard for genuine medical needs (which I clearly explained at check-in) ruined our holiday. I have been traveling in Thailand for many years and have never experienced anything like this.

The location is close to the beach and restaurants. The cabins are basic but clean and they have everything you need. The staff is really friendly. The restaurant is great.

“Perfect stay perfect location”

Great location right on the Khlong Chao waterway. Kayaks are included for guests and every day you we would take out a kayak to visit the beautiful mangrove area towards the waterfall or head out to sea for coastal beaches. It is handy for local restaurants and local beach. The dining area right by the waterfall is a great place to sit and breakfast selection excellent. The staff are great and helpful with the kayaks too

Nice bungalow, basic but clean. Good bed and AC. By the river, so you need to walk (close) or take a motorbike to the beach. Best beaches further south imo.

The place is very clean and the staff are friendly. You can take the kayak at the place for free which is a most do in this lovely location. I found the breakfast was very good and changed each da.

It was wonderful.

It was a really beautiful place to stay and the staff were very lovely. We had the best kayak ride from homestay to the beach for sunset. Kayaks are free for people staying. Everything was perfect. Thankyou I would love to return one day.

The location is good, close to the beach and right on the river. The breakfast was tasty. The staffs were friendly and welcoming. They made me feel like I was a family member of them. Also, the foods at the restaurant were delicious.

Perfect position by the river and 10min walk from a nice beach. The bungalow is big and clean with a lovely patio, breakfast served by the river was very good and the restaurant one of the best we have tried in thailand. Free kayaks for guests is another plus.

Rooms as described. Great helpful staff that make your stay run smoothly. lovely food & selection of cold drinks (smoothies/ices etc) in the restaurant right on the river.

Great location near Khlong Chao Beach—very convenient and easy to get around. I really appreciate supporting local homestays over big resorts, and this one had a warm, authentic vibe.
