Bamboo Garden is a simple guesthouse with all the basics you need and a very comfortable bed. The staff and manager (Oi) are very friendly and helpful and checking in was as laidback as you can get,..so easy. Nice pool,..a little on the small side but refreshing and welcome after a trip out and back. Close to a 7/11 that has a pharmacy and eats never too far away.

amboo garden We were met on arrival by the lovely Oi who was happy to let us check in early. Bamboo garden is a delightfully quiet and peaceful location. We had a lovely room made from old wood, a nice cool terrace with table and chairs to relax on any time of day. The room was simple and spotlessly clean. Nice comfortable bed and a decent shower with good pressure. There is a beautiful clean shaded pool in a lovely garden that we spent the afternoon in and around. In the evening Oi cooked for us and it was delicious. She is a truly lovely kind caring person. Her partner Frank built the resort 30 years ago. Sadly he died 3 years ago. Resorts are not 5* luxury and are not supposed to be. They are a simple way of life. We had a wonderful day/night and have already made plans to stay there again. Frank, you did a good job creating Bamboo garden.

Cute little village style hotel tucked in a quiet soi. Close by to a big fresh market and across the highway from lots of little food stands. The hotel itself was unique. We stayed in a small private "villa" and enjoyed it. It was a simple room, quite clean (especially the bathroom!), and had nice hot water in the shower. The bed was a full size, so our young daughter slept on a small kids mattress we brought. We didn't get to use the pool because it was quite cool outside when we arrived, but it looked lovely. I imagine during the hot season the pool cover would be really nice to help block the sun. The garden was also really cute, as were the outdoor dining areas. We didn't stay long, but enjoyed the authentic Thai feel of this hotel.

I have stayed here before , and although Frank is no longer with us It still remains a charming place to Get away from the hustle and bustle of udon city
