“Peaceful, welcoming and accomadating stay and great staff !”

Such a welcoming and friendly family who run the bed and breakfast, the beds were lovely and comfortable and a nice and peaceful outside seating area, they also provided a great tour of plain of jars and were very accommodating e.g dropping us into town for dinner and taking us to the airport

David is welcoming and informative host. Even before arrival he contacted us to let us know he was planning a bbq and would we like to join 👍. The rooms were comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was excellent, made especially so by the baguettes and croissants David has flown in from Vientiane every couple of days 😳.

The husband and wife hosts were exceptional in their hospitality and kindness. They have created a congenial multilingual environment that was charming. The wife doubled as an outstanding tour guide. The hotel ground floor had lots of character but more on that later.

great host full of information, took us into the centre of town own for dinner. the guest house provides a tour of the plain of jars which was excellent and the local morning markets which was quite interesting air con worked well, very relaxed atmosphere that we enjoyed excellent breakfast

The host was the perfect host, very helpful and very easy going. Basically you can arrange everything with them from the the tour, transport and also recommendation for restaurants.

“Great guest house made special by the hosts”

We chose Pukyo partly because we knew there'd be an English speaking host which would make organising tours easier. It did and we had a great time staying for three nights, taking two, day long tours to jar sites, bomb sites, local villages and much much more. Our guide La was a safe driver and very knowledgeable. Pukyo has comfy beds and the back rooms have a beautiful view. Then we come to David the host (his wife was away) who is just full of the joy of life, a great organiser/juggler of guests, tours, airport pick ups, food etc. He arranged two lovely dinners for all the guests while we were there and took us and others into town for another. His three daughters are beautiful and the whole experience was amazing. Oh and there's an honesty bar. Bonus! 👌Thank you David we loved our stay.

David, the owner, will tell you to make it your home and that’s exactly how it felt! It was a cozy stay that we looked forward to returning to at the end of the day. But the best thing about the place is the owners and their hospitality. David went above and beyond for us, ensuring that we had onward travel sorted, took us to an atm (twice), showed us around the best restaurants. We actually ended up eating with him and the other guests both nights. He actually uses his own van too. He ensured we had a trip to the plain of jars for a fair price and using his van again with an English speaking tour guide. Overall we cannot recommend this place enough. The rooms were amazing The hospitality even betteas belgians doing a long motorcycle trip, we were so pleased to have a warm belgian welcome with belgian beers and even Belgian stew. But no need to be a belgian, this is the place everyone wants to stay

“A place to return”

The owner of the guest house is a professional guide who is knowledgeable about the prehistoric sites with her perfect English. Her hospitality and kindness made our trip a memorable one. The rooms are clean and breakfast especially the croissants are freshly baked and delicious 😋

We just felt really welcome here. David is super helpful and has lots of great information. We enjoyed meeting other guests and David made us all a delicious dinner. We used the bikes and there was filtered water.

“Good choice when you visit the plain of jars”

We arrived late and couldn't find restaurants nearby. We were very hungry as we didn't eat all day (it is a long story ...). The owner prepared a fish dinner for us. Breakfast was good although we were expecting more. The room was much larger than the one we reserved as it was a family room for 4. There is a parking space within the gated yard. The owner is a Belgian guy with very good English.

We loved our stay with David and Sakhone. Nothing bad to say about it: great welcome, nice breakfast, excellent bed, … Also good to know: Sakhone is an excellent tour guide and David goes all the way to make sure you leave their place happy.

“Perfect for Plain of Jars”

After a long and arduous (due to wrong routing) car trip we arrived quite late in the evening. Despite the late hour David warmly greeted us and got us quickly squared away for the night. We had a fantastic two night stay and the highly recommended this B&B for a base to explore the surrounding area. Thank you David for your kind hospitality!!!

The hosts were extremely welcoming

The owners David and his Lao wife were the most wonderful hosts and made me feel so welcome. David organised my tour of the Plain of Jars which was undertaken by his knowledgeable wife and which was informative and fabulous. In addition l was picked up from the bus station and he organised my flight back to Vientiane. You will not be disappointed if you book with the Pukyo B&B. I highly recommend.
