Loved it so much I went back to stay a second time! :) The staff were absolute angels. They have a restaurant on site so you never have to go far for food. It’s only a 8-ish minute walk to Maenam beach and the Main Street. The common area was very nice and good for socialising. The hostel has a very rural/isolated feeling about it but in a good way.

Myself and my wife have spent a couple of nights in Blockhouse Samui and unfortunately we can't recommend this place. 10 bed dormitory is rather small and beds are right next to each other. Curtains are only from some sides of the beds so if you're unfortunate you'll be "sharing" the same curtain with another bed and therefore you might be exposed (as I was). We have reached out to this hostel well ahead of our arrival asking if it's possible to share the same bunk bed (1 bottom level bed, 1 upper). We did not get any response and when we arrived we were assigned to 2 random, separate beds. It's not a big issue but communication should have been better here. There are no signs about quiet time after 10pm or whatever and a lot of party people come to this hostel so be prepared to not get sleep at all. We were unfortunate to be in the room with groups of people coming back in the middle of night, turning on the light, making noise and having no respect for other guests at all. Hostel is also connected with the restaurant where people stay longer than 10pm and staff is creating noise themselves. AC in the room is being turned only at night so you won't be able to stay there during the day. Also the room is very dark and sheets are not being exchanged at all. Overall, we can't recommend this place unless you're thinking only about partying. Then I guess it won't really matter.

I loved the community and friendliness of the staff the lady is so lovely and so funny, if you’re a green smoker it’s perfect because everyone is very relaxed and they sell it there !!they also have a cat called REKKI who is so cute and very friendly

The room was quite small for 3 bunk beds for 6 people. However there is a bathroom with hot shower.

Owner was lovely, the rooms were so cosy and comfortable. Excellent facilities great food. The whole hostel feels like a family.

The lovely friendly staff and the availability of fabulous traditional Thai cuisine and a bar and staff that will make you laugh. Absolute gem hope to visit again sometime 🫶

“Lovely Hostel with welcoming staff”

The owner and employees are super friendly and cute. Everything was clean und the beds (6-bed dorm) were comfortable. Location is relatively quiet (even with the restaurant open, sleeping in the dorm room is no issue) and during my stay there were not many other guests around, so perfect for relaxing. Main street and beach are at walking distance where you can find numerous places to eat and drink or you can enjoy the time at the restaurant (miss samui) The elephant ressort is also close by for some other activity besides the beach!

The place is really clean and nicely tended. They have a restaurant when you need to eat something quick after arrival.
