“We felt like part of the family”

The most fabulous place to stay in Bankrut! The hosts could not do enough to make us feel comfortable and looked after, from pick up to/from the train station and daily fruit treats from grandma, we loved our stay here and were so so sad to leave. Our bungalow was very comfortable and had everything we needed - big bed, two fans, a fridge, toaster, lovely shower - there’s even a communal kitchen. We used the paid laundry service on site which was super quick and convenient. Location was great and in our opinion Bankrut is a hidden gem, not just a stopover on the train line - a few minutes walk one way to an long sandy beach (stunning at sunrise) or the other way to the bustling morning market. There are simple, affordable and absolutely delicious roadside restaurants for evening meals. We were also able to rent bicycles to explore the nearby coconut groves and the beautiful hill temple Wat Thang Sai from which you can see all along the coast and over Myanmar. We would wholeheartedly recommend Wandee and we would love to return again soon!

Lovely hosts. Super quiet.

Beautifully laid out in a lovely garden with only the noise of birds and wind chimes to accompany your stay. The lovely welcoming staff are the main reason I would recommend wandee. They were so friendly and kind with the most beautiful mango! You can walk directly to the beach and there are seven eleven only 5 minutes away along with lots of street food vendors. Wake early is my tip. Take a walk to the beach and through the gardens.

Most friendly hosts we ever encountered. It's a nice and family-like feeling. We got picked up at the train station and we were welcomed with mango even late evening. Had an amazing 3 nights stay. You can rent a motorbike or bicycles there as well. Very quiet bungalows. 10/10 we will definitely come again when we are in the area next time.

“AMAZING!”

This is an amazing place to stay! It's really quirky with sculptures everywhere. The family are amazingly friendly and very helpful and nice. The bungalows are lovely, they're old but I loved my little home! I stayed longer because it was so nice! Great location and really quiet. The owner recommend a really good local restaurant nearby which I really enjoyed.

“Great location and amazing hospitality at wandee resort”

My stay at Wandee Resort was amazing.The location,my bungalow but most of all Ning and her parents.They were so welcoming and kind,always made sure i had everything i needed and even brought me breakfast every morning.

The place is absolutely lovely. Ning and her mother were extremely helpful with everything we needed. They brought us every morning a little detail for breakfast and organized us the scooters. You will need them to explore the surroundings. The bungalows are basic and not really high end but the heartly welcome of this Thai family run resort is amazing. We prolonged two nights because we felt at home at this place. Definitely great value for the price.

“Green and chill resort a few minutes walk from Ban Krut Beach”

Relaxing resort just off the beach street in Ban Krut. The place is very green - you can listen to birdsongs in the morning and to rustling of leaves when it's windy. You can also rent a bicycle for 50 baht for 24 hours. The owner speaks English and is very friendly. I enjoyed my stay in Wandee and will be back for more in future.

Such a special place to stay!! Wonderfully kind and generous hosts, who also picked us up and dropped us at the train station! The cottage was fantastic!! Gorgeous balcony to relax on, surrounded by a park like setting. We loved the morning market treats so much, thank you. Less than 5 mins walk to a postcard beach which we swam in each morning.. we had it to ourselves! Fabulous selection of restaurants and also budget streetside eateries all within walking distance. The temple on the hill nearby is really worth visiting and you can hire a scooter here too. Our nicest stay in 6 weeks in Thailand!

Khun Kae, the owner is wonderful. I loved the artsy and hippie vibe of the place. The location is great, set back from the main beach road which got quite busy and noisy but still a short walk to the beach. Khun Kae spoilt us with fruits everyday. We enjoyed having the additional space of the wrap around verandah and privacy of the last bungalow.

What an absolute gem of a place to stay. We stayed in the little cabin, it was small, but there's only 2 of us and (to our regret) we only stayed 2 nights. (We really wished we had booked longer, but already had advance bookings further south.). The village is small with several places to eat and drink. The beach is really long and was very quiet during our stay. The hosts of Wandee are super helpful, kind and friendly. They have several types of bungalow available and it's just 3 minutes walk from the beach. The garden is beautiful, full of nature and wildlife and also many little art installations. They also have bicycles that you can borrow and can arrange a scooter hire if you wish. This guest house has been our favourite place to stay on this trip so far. Highly recommend.

Lovely host. Fan bungalow was alright. Fridge was on but would not keep anything cold even on Max.

“A charming place to stay”

A little gem in Ban Krut, set one road back from the sea front. A park-like place with spacious cabins set among the trees. Quirky handmade whirly gigs add to its charm. The owners were lovely and generous with their time. There are washing machines and bicycles available to use. The town is very relaxed, with a large beach front spanning kilometers. There are plenty of delicious food and drink options, 2 x 7-1s and other supermarkets nearby. The morning market is about 8 minutes walk away and sells delicious treats!
