“A good option for the islands”

This is a good little guest house with a small restaurant. We had a garden room which I did book so no surprise but I would try and get a river view room.

Room with balcony just next to the Mekong. The hotel is situated on one of the quieter islands. The views of the sunset from the balcony were incredible. The hotel serves a good breakfast but for an evening meal, you have to go early. However there are plenty of other restaurants just a short walk away. The hotel provides bicycles which are an excellent way of investigating the island.

Simplicity of the room directly on the Mekong river exactly as expected. Location at the top of the Don Khone island. Near the bridge to Don Det, supermarkets and restaurants, bicycle rent to get round both the islands. All the available Lao and Thai food at the guesthouse, especially the breakfast (fresh mango shake, excellent coffee) on the river terrace.

The bathroom in our room was a bit smelly. And I really did not like that the host tried to scam someone with a 14% worse exchange rate, if you try to pay in Kip. Did not happen to us in 1 month in Lao once.

The view from the balcony

Good location on Don Khone island close to good restaurants and the bridge to Don Det. Affordable price, quiet and on the river, little balcony outside the room to sit.

Peaceful and relaxing guesthouse ran by friendly family. It was nice to have a private balcony with my own hammock and air conditioning for about 11USD per night. The restaurant is good too, and you can chill with a beer in the garden to watch sunset over the bridge. I enjoyed my week here very much and will happily stay here again if I return to Don Khon.

Very nice family run place and a very plesant saty, location as good as it can get. Higly recomended.

The terrace in front of the room was quite nice with a relaxing view over the gardens and the mekong on the side. Location was perfect for Don Khone.

Everything was good. Staff were so kind and helpful. Nice location and clean. Altogether that was nice experience and nice place to stay.

We booked all 5 rooms and the location on the Mekong was perfect. The owners have great home made Laos food and a fantastic expresso coffee machine. Great value for money.

Peaceful part of the Island. Restaurant at the road frontage of the guesthouse served wonderful fish dish, and very friendly staff.

I chose this place considering visitor's comments. Here are mine: + 3 out of 5 are just on Mekong  + the young owner (?) is very kind + good choice of breakfast, excellent cappuccino + food tasty + attractive price ( reservation platform) + money exchange service ( no ATM nearby)
